@DoctorEldritch 🎮💬 What does equality in gaming mean to you? 💬🎮 Equality in gaming means a lot to me. As a girl gamer, I often face discrimination in the form, that people just automatically expect me to be bad at a game, that they assume I have no knowledge. If I am not excellent, I am bad.... see more

@DoctorEldritch For me, the first thing I thought about regarding the question was that equality is about creating a space where everyone feels welcome – no matter your gender, background or skill level. I play League of Legends, and I just want to be seen as a player, not a ‘girl gamer’. But I... see more

@DoctorEldritch I just want everyone to have fun when it comes to gaming. Girl or guy the meaning of gaming is to have fun and for some of us just escape reality for a while. Just as important for girls to feel safe and enjoy the community in whatever game they are playing. @Beforewefall see more

  • A glimpse into the past before #SailsOfWar: Ancient Naval Combat (Mount and Blade)
@JokerZida me and @DracoTarot were recently talking about the lack of games set in proper Dark Ages. This one is not set there as well if it is in the mid-16th century, but I want to ask, what time period is the game covering, exactly? As you mentioned, by the 16th century, naval canons were... see more
  • Check out Doom: The Dark Ages New Gameplays!
@DracoTarot Back on the subject of DOOM though, I've read that Digital Foundry was very impressed by the graphics and how the surrounding objects are destructible and that is reflected in visuals. But here is the less positive bit: the soundtrack, according to them, is not as good as it was in... see more
  • New gameplay from The Precinct 🔥
@miskkie procedurally generated may not mean repetitive, or even if it does, hopefully it will not drag on. I mean, XCOM was procedurally generated outside of stories too, but it had measures in place to keep it interesting. Maybe something like this would be here as well. see more
  • New gameplay from The Precinct 🔥
@JokerZida I like how they switched accent from overall management that is usually the case like in This Is The Police where you play as a force chef, to more of grunt work. Hopefully, it will allow them to tell more personal stories. see more

@Telomina It is interesting, that the whole streamer and influencer industries evolved during our time, there were none when I was little. So we get to see how it changes and how lurkit and the like appear and change or not change their requirements, and more people get into streaming. Interesting... see more

Sailors swinging between ships while cannons blazing? That's modern sailing from the Age of Sail (mid-16th century onward)—not ancient naval warfare. Before Cannons 🔹 Heavy reliance on oarsmen for locomotion 🔹 No gunpowder = no cannons 🔹 Ships like the Roman and Byzantine galleys fought very... see more

  • Steam is having the NEXT FEST!
@DracoTarot Ah well, remasters are not the same. System Shock or RDR got lucky to have good ones, but GTA III or the recent Rise of the Ronin were less lucky. It may come down to various factors on a case-by-case basis. Nor is mine, I have one of the few smartphones in existence with a physical... see more
  • New gameplay from The Precinct 🔥
New title for me. Looks pretty fun, but it seems like there's a lot of procedurally generated missions and I wonder how long those stay interesting. Might take a stab at it later down the road. see more
