@JokerZida Do you mean the one that just came out? see more
  • Star Wars™ Outlaws when you purchase an RTX 40
@JokerZida That's interesting and seems like a novel concept to me. Has this been done before, I can't remember any examples, but I did not keep track. I mean, including a game with a piece of hardware (which is not a PC). Does this happen often? see more
  • gamescom 2024: Check out Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 gameplay!
@JokerZida The story seems to be more serious this time, you are no longer a smith son trying to prove yourself, this time around you carry some real power. I wonder if there will be DLCs again.... see more
  • Steam is having a Rythm Fest!
Hello Legion Gamers! Summer is coming to an end, we're at the final stretch of August, and to send of Summer 2024 with a bang, Steam is having a sale with a musical twist: the Rythm Fest! Things seem to be looking up for Tango Gameworks: not only did Krafton save them from closing down, but... see more
  • gamescom 2024: Check out Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 gameplay!
Hello Legion Gamers! gamescom 2024 has started and the flow of gaming videos has begun! The most interesting for me was the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 gameplay. Whooping 20 minutes of it! One of the releases I am looking forward to. @JokerZida, this may be of interest, I remember you... see more
  • Paradox Interactive profit dropped 90%!
@mlbbinjecor Maybe not risks per se, but cancelling hyped-up projects is definitely not a sound strategy 😅 see more
  • A bit of Bad News...
@j7schultz It seems the situation is even a bit more positive than before: not only Tango was acquired, but it was acquired with all the talent that was still there, that's about 50% of employees (the rest managed to find jobs at other companies already, so now vacancies are open to fill the... see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH About characters, well... It's not that they are bad, they are not. It's just that... they are not as charismatic as before. You can sort of see what developers were trying to do, to fit new characters into the archetype of the previous ones in a retelling sort of way. Like how Ichiban as a... see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH Not as much as you think, that game does not put that much of an emphasis on those. If you're after that, better go for Valiant Hearts. CoD WW2 is shooter most and foremost. see more
  • Assassin's Creed Shadows premiere!
True, but then you would not need to send the dev team to Japan, and no dev would say "no" to that. AC games need to have proper authentic forests, without them the whole gameplay collapses. see more
  • Check out a couple of Star Wars Outlaws videos!
Hello Legion Gamers! The release date for Star Wars Outlaws is fast approaching, and to mark the occasion, here are a couple of videos to showcase the game! The first one shows gameplay and explores its technical properties on PC: So you can check if the game will run smoothly on your... see more
  • Assassin's Creed Shadows premiere!
@ZaidH They said that they tried to make the game as authentic as possible. So it took them 4 years to do that. Well... I wish they told more about that "external consultants and historians" bit, I would be interested to know who those people were. see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH To be fair, when it comes to cultural nuances, it is more about the game. Titanfall is set in a fictional universe, so the lore has no cultural elements to it that need to be relayed, the culture of the world is foreign to the player no matter where they come from. It was different with... see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH The map does seem unreasonably bloated, yeah. and you do have encounters, the same as in the rest of the Yakuza games. They are spread wider too, though, so I'd say you do not get to fight more often than in older games, it's just that you need to run more from one fight to the next. It... see more
  • A few animation news!
@Marwaesam I'd say Netflix does good when they give creative license. I liked their Dark but mostly because they gave local talent all the power and allowed them to choose how many seasons the story would run for, so they could plan for it without the fear of needing to reach certain ratings each... see more
  • A few animation news!
@GoLLuM13 It could turn out a bit Groundhog Day-ish, yeah. But maybe they will retell it closer to the source or from different angles or something, we may bet FMA/Brotherhood type of thing, or even Spice and Wolf if we're lucky. see more
  • A few animation news!
That's what they said about Days of Our Lives. Well, who is laughing now, eh? Who knows @GoLLuM13, some Netflix exec may read this and miss the punchline 😉 see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH I thought NPCs in Kiwami were active enough, and there are some cars there, too. But not like proper two-directional roads. While that it not bad per se, it is using resources and is a symptom of not packing everything in a smaller area. Normally, Yakuza locations are very iconic, on every... see more

@ZaidH Localization is challenging work. Especially in cutscenes, you not only need to translate the text but also edit it in such a way that the time to say lines in original and localized is as close as possible. It is sometimes hard, I would imagine especially in Japan/English audio localization... see more
