  • A few animation news!
@ramax It does give dimension, I agree, but then, One Piece has so many special effects with those paranormal abilities that characters have, it is long and extensive to make live. Anime is much cheaper and faster in that regard. But Netflix did a decent job with the first season so far. see more
  • A few animation news!
@Saka It is a Middle Dutch tale, I do not know it either. But hey, we will not have spoilers then, eh? 😉 Just as well, One Piece is so long, it will take a while for Netflix to work up the episodes unless they cut out a lot. So you may as well wait until there is more to see. But then, you may... see more
  • A few animation news!
@AmrAli1 I do not trust Netflix because they keep cancelling some series that I think should not be cancelled. But for you, maybe it's because they failed with Cowboy Beebop? see more
  • A few animation news!
Hello Legion Gamers! A bit of news for our animation connoisseurs. @Saka, @GoLLuM13, @ramax and @AmrAli1, that means you, among others! The first news comes from the Netherlands, they are working on an animated version of the legendary tale of Karel & Elegast, it will be called The King & The... see more
  • Epic Games Store Free Game 8-15 August!
@ChristianRasmussen Really? As far as I know, it changes on the last day at 18:00. So it would be different now, but it should have been still going this morning. Maybe they changed the rules, I will look into it. Thank you for the shout! see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH It was tough, took me between half a year and a year to recover... LAD is more tactical, yeah, the more common JRPG tactics. So it feels different. To me, it also felt a bit...I want to say empty. It is set in a very big are, normally Yakuza games are packed in a relatively small... see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH I was involved in several game developments in a few different companies, and in my experience it is a much more hectic process than it may seem. In big teams, often left hand does not know what the right one is doing, there are changes on the go and plans for day-one patches months before... see more
  • And finally, Disney's other plans!
@Saka It is fantasy, but to me, computer animation is not on that flawless level yet. It occasionally looks creepy to me. But I guess the Grimm Brothers would appreciate, unedited versions of their fables are rather gory. About dwarves, they kept changing them, yeah. I thought the first time... see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH I had a Yakuza burnout when I had to format my disk in the middle of Yakuza 4. Took me a while to get back into it and do all that all over again. For me, changing the genre helps. Like going tactics or metroidivnia or something other than RPG for a while. see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH Probably, but as you mentioned, functionality is there already, game allows one respec. I would think changing it would not be too time-consuming. Even if not deeper in-game integration like ripperdoc service, just changing that menu function from single-use to multiple uses should have been... see more
  • And finally, Disney's other plans!
@Saka Maybe snow is of a different colour in that fairytale land 😅 Which trailer do you mean, the new one with CGI gnomes? To me, it looked too computer-animated, makes me wonder if they used any real locations at all. I guess it may be a less significant change indeed because, as you said, one... see more
  • The Borderlands movie is bad...people say.
@DracoTarot Oh my... Makes me want to watch Douglas is Cancelled. It's been on my list, but I think I'll bump it up, it seems to be more and more relevant... see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH I'd opt for not watching it, it does not have the same feel, with Yakuza games you really need to play those, but that's me. And lack of time and resources is a valid reason. But before Infinite Wealth, in addition to Y6, you also need to play Like a Dragon and, ideally, The Man Who... see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH Witcher 3 had somewhat similar restrictions, yes. It had several trees you could upgrade, like a Combat tree with branches in Fast or Strong attacks, or Sign tree, or an Alchemy tree with branches for Potions or Bombs or Oils. And you could not upgrade all of that in a single playthrough,... see more
  • And finally, Disney's other plans!
@Saka Yeah, I can see the resemblance somewhat. That is a nice sentiment, it is nice to preserve ancestry in ethnic stories and settings. Netflix is doing a somewhat better job, maybe, in their different production divisions across the globe. Maybe it is more complex with movies? They get more... see more
  • And finally, Disney's other plans!
@Saka Oh my, I did not know she was so young, then I guess cameras could indeed make her uncomfortable. I wonder how she would feel about them this time around now that she is more experienced and older. see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH Trying different builds with no restrictions is part of the fun. This is deckbuilding games bread and butter. I like deckbuilding games, maybe that's why I want the ability to do that. I mean, if you design the game so you can't max out every stat, at least make it more flexible in... see more
  • Farewell Game Informer...
@ZaidH From a purely storyline viewpoint, Yakuza Like a Dragon comes after that, Kiryu is there but as a minor character. Then there was that whole The Man Who Erased His Name story after that which tells us what he's been up to after faking his death at the end of Son of Life and that game is a... see more
  • Arkane is dead, long live the WolfEye!
@ZaidH There is that, but it can be hard to feel the vibe of the build when watching it. I mean, the most important thing in a build is that it needs to be fun for you. Which can be anything: you like slicing up enemies like a mad meatgrinder bent on enslaving humanity? Sure thing. You want to do... see more
  • The Borderlands movie is bad...people say.
@DracoTarot The cast is all misses for me too, yeah. Interestingly, here the age is miscast for all of them as well as looks, for me, at least. Really? I did not know that, what happened? see more
