Ciao a tutti, ormai possiedo questo Legion 5 da 4 mesi, acquistato su amazon spagna, da allora mi sto trovando veramente bene, non ha avuto nessun tipo di problema, eccezzionale in tutto. Solo però che ultimamente mi sono informato anche io sulla questione delle RAM, purtroppo anche il mio da 16GB ha quelle lente con il tRFC 880 la stessa del video di Jarrow

ovviamente io nei giochi a 1080p non mi sono mai lamentato perchè vanno tutti una bomba e addirittura mi trovo benissimo giocando in modalità silenziosa, ma sapere che per colpa di queste ram non viene sfruttata appieno la potenzialità del notebook ci rimani un pò male sinceramente, sopratutto dopo aver speso tanti soldi.
Ora vorrei un consiglio e alcune informazioni magari per un upgrade futuro, sapete all'incirca con quanta percentuale viene limitata la potenza rispetto ad un ipotetico upgrade?
Secondo voi vale la pena scambiare ora la ram da 16gb (8x2) magari con quelle della Crucial (single rank o dual rank?)
O la differenza è minima?
Meglio passare direttamente a 32GB (con quello che costano) è sensato?

La differenza è abbastanza piccola per cui dovresti valutare secondo me un upgrade diretto a 32GB.
Il limite è di circa il 10% sulla CPU, proprio come indicato nel video di Jarrod, il che vuol dire che a seconda dell'applicazione oscilli da un 5% ad un 15% di prestazione ( molti giochi single player si basano sulla GPU solitamente, quelli online invece più comuni sulla CPU ).
Comprare i 16GB secondo me è una spesa esagerata, e tanto vale fare l'upgrade completo dato che i Ryzen sono affamati di RAM ( lavorano meglio con più RAM, non che te la utilizzano tutta ).
Valuta l'upgrade solo se vuoi veramente farlo, ma non farti paranoie sull'aver perso chissà che potenza. Io ho il 5 Pro 5800/3070/16 e penso che farò l'upgrade tra un annetto o 18 mesi.

Un ultima domanda, ho notato che i dual rank costano molto di più del single rank, c'è molta differenza tra i due o vanno bene semplicemente i single rank? anche se ho notato che in alcune ram non è specificato nella descrizione se sono single o dual.

La differenza c'è ma non è altissima ( 3-7% per i 32GB a confronto tra loro, sempre a seconda dell'applicazione che utilizza la CPU, e dal processore - differenza praticamente nulla se si parla di App GPU-intensive ).
Personalmente comprerò 32GB Dual Rank tra un bel po' proprio per un prevedibile calmieramento dei prezzi, visto che sono in arrivo nuove tecnologie RAM e quando queste prenderanno il sopravvento la differenza tra single e dual sarà ridotta come conseguenza.

Ciao a tutti, avevo un piccolo dubbio, spero sia nel posto giusto.. Stavo guardando, oltre al Legion 5 Pro, anche il 7i 16'' (con un i7 di undicesima generazione e rtx 3060) o la versione 15'' (con la rtx 2070 super max q).
Continuo a preferire il 5 Pro per il prezzo, soprattutto con la 3070, anche perché non mi serve per chissà quali sessioni hardcore di gioco, ma ero curioso di un vostro parere su queste altre macchine, o se comunque preferite il 5 pro. Grazie mille 😊

Anche il mio in spedizione per il 17!
@Riky evita le Max-Q, sono schede che offrono laptop mediamente più leggeri, ma meno performanti. Da prendere solo se hai bisogno di tanta tanta portabilità (io farò il pendolare con il L5P, comunque). Tra il 5P 3070 (AMD, credo) e il 7 3060 (Intel) meglio il 5P, penso anche a spesa inferiore (ho pagato il L5P 1560, unica cosa su cui non ho maxato è la RAM, 16GB, in parte pentendomene ma al massimo la cambio. Penso che il 7 a meno di 1800 non parta). A parità di GPU si potrebbe fare un discorso, ma i 2GB di VRAM in più della 3070 la rendono più future-proof della 3060 sicuramente, e per quanto mi riguarda ha troppo valore aggiunto avere un PC con una vita più lunga

@Riky qui secondo me c'è da fare un discorso particolare, la 2070 super max-q è comunque una buona GPU, ma non conosco le sue performance rispetto alla 3060 (130w) o 3070 (140 w). Io preferirei comunque un sistema più nuovo, perché poi oltre ad avere una GPU più vecchia hai poi altri componenti importanti meno recenti (CPU, RAM, sistema di raffreddamento). Quindi a questo punto spenderei per un laptop più nuovo.
poi discorso tra legion 7i con i7 e 3060 vs legion 5 pro con r7 e 3070, io preferirei il legion 5 pro per rapporto qualità/prezzo poiché la differenza tra le due CPU e molto poca, la differenza tra le due GPU invece può sentirsi, una comunque ha 6GB di vram vs 8GB vram della 3070, non ricordo che differenza di peso ci sia, ma non dovrebbe variare molto. Il legion 7i ha dei vantaggi come la scocca di materiali più premium, il lettore di impronte digitali, ha le porte Thunderbolt 4, un sistema di dissipazione con le camere di vapore quindi dovrebbe essere migliore, ha i led tamarri ma in portabilità ti consumano velocemente la batteria.
se puoi spendere una cifra più alta, ti consiglio di vedere qualche recensione del Legion 7i, le performance tra i due laptop sono comunque paragonabili e ne sarai entusiasta. Un'alternativa (se puoi spenderci) è che prendi il legion 5 pro con 32 GB di RAM che in teoria non hanno il timing alto come le RAM nella configurazione da 16GB, quindi in questo modo hai anche un aumento delle prestazioni. Oppure se vuoi un sistema Intel e Thunderbolt puoi sempre optare per il Legion 5i pro.
Io comunque ripeto sono per il Legion 5 pro AMD con 3070, soprattutto per il rapporto qualità prestazioni e prezzo!🤙

Sembra che la maggioranza propenda per il 5 Pro haha. Alla fine "rinuncerei" alla thunderbolt, ma per i miei usi non credo sia indispensabile, e questo sembra il più equilibrato. Ragazzi per chi ha il Legion con la ram lenta (la stessa del video di jarrow per intederci) ha per caso fatto l'upgrade? perchè ero curioso di sapere ed avere conferma se in cyberpunk 2077 c'e davvero un boost delle perfomance che secondo il suo video dovrebbe fare 60 fps con rtx medio e dlss qualità, che ovviamente sul mio va spesso a singhiozzo e ha cali anche sotto i 40 a seconda dei luoghi.
Poi, sapete dirmi il modello esatto della ram e se devo prendere single rank o dual rank?così lo metto nella lista e aspetto qualche buona offerta, dato che i dual rank costano veramente molto per ora.

@Niko da quello che ho visto su YouTube (però tanti video con la 3060), un piccolo boost c'è, non saprei dirti di quanto, proprio perché usavano le 3060. Poi da quello che ho visto molti prendevano delle crucial. Nel video di Jarrod's ci dovrebbe essere anche il link per le RAM che ha preso lui.

Ho così scoperto che non era stato cancellato il vecchio ordine presso Findomestic da Lenovo (che quindi era stato approvato) e logicamente non mi approvano un nuovo ordine dallo stesso venditore in attesa di consegna (che ovviamente non sarà mai consegnato essendo cancellato), risultato, ordine nuovamente cancellato e nuovamente indisponibile online :(
Ho dovuto contattare Lenovo per avvisarli che devono procedere a far annullare presso Findomestic la pratica, altrimenti mi daranno sempre un no secco.
Mannaggia a me che mi sono fatto ingolosire dal pagare in 10 rate a tasso 0....grrrr

Salve, due domandine da uno che è interessato al Legion 5 Pro.
1) che voi sappiate, lo si potrà ordinare (configurandolo) anche con Windows 10 Pro, invece di Home?
2) oltre a poter avere le zone colorate ho visto che si può settare la tastiera retroilluminata anche tutta con luce bianca. Il livello di luminosità della tastiera è regolabile, vero? E se volessi scegliere un colore uniforme ma diverso dal bianco (es., un più riposante colore ambrato), si può fare?

@freesailor ciao, si durante la configurazione puoi selezionare W10 pro, non ricordo la differenza di prezzo però.
Poi per la seconda domanda, configurando il laptop puoi decidere se prendere il modello con la tastiera retroilluminata bianca oppure RGB retroilluminata a 4 zone, quindi se prendi la seconda opzione puoi regolare il colore di ogni zona e mettere un colore a piacere. Per i livelli di luminosità non so dirti poiché il mio arriverà domani, ma per la mia esperienza visto che possiedo un vecchio laptop Lenovo posso dirti che sicuramente puoi regolare la luminosità, almeno su 2 livelli.

Quando ho ordinato il mio confermo che è passato dalla Germania per un controllo per poi arrivare in Italia. Pare che anche acquirenti di altre nazioni hanno avuto la fermata tedesca, e se non erro c'è una sede Europea grossa di Lenovo, quindi magari è semplicemente una tappa obbligata per via di un centro di distribuzione europeo.

Lenovo is not responsible for any public display or misuse of your Content. Lenovo does however reserve the right to remove, exclude or modify your Content for any reason, at its discretion, including any Content that Lenovo believes violates these Terms or other applicable policies. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL LENOVO BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY IN ANY WAY FOR ANY CONTENT POSTED ON OR MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH A SITE BY YOU OR ANY OTHER USER.
Lenovo may reward points for certain activities on the Platform, including (but not limited to) sharing posts, creating posts and entering competitions. Subject to availability, Lenovo reserves the right at any time to amend, modify or retract any points, rewards or prizes earned on the Platform. You accept that Lenovo will not enter into any correspondence regarding the awarding of points or rewards and Lenovo is entitled to grant or revoke rewards at their discretion. The decision of Lenovo in relation to all aspects of this programme is final and binding.
Data Privacy and Security
Lenovo will communicate with you via email or push notifications (including via the Standing on Giants platform), about Legion Community related notices changes to features of Legion Community and any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail.. If required by law, we will ask you for consent before sending you marketing emails. Please note that you may unsubscribe to general marketing emails at any time using the link provided in the emails. You understand that your data may be shared with other Lenovo entities and trusted third parties with a contractual relationship with Lenovo solely in connection with Legion Community

Representations and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:
(a) You will abide by and comply with these Terms;
(b) Your Content and Lenovo’s use thereof as contemplated by these Terms and the Platform will not infringe any rights of any third party, including but not limited to any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, and rights of publicity;
(c) You have the full power and authority to enter into these Terms and to the extent that any entity is bound hereby, to bind such entity, these Terms, and performance of obligations under these Terms do not and will not violate any other agreement to which you or such entity is a party; and
(d) You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to those set forth in these Terms.
Compliance
When using Legion Community, you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and all terms of use and similar rules concerning your use of any Social Media Outlet or other third party publishing platform.
Upon our request made to you from time to time, you will cooperate with us and allow us access to your systems, communications, and records solely in connection with determining your compliance with these Terms.
Visiting Third Party Websites
The Platform may contain links to third party websites, advertisers, products, services, offers, or other events or activities that are not owned or controlled by Lenovo. Lenovo does not assume any responsibility for any such third party sites, information, materials, products, services or offers. If you access any third party website, product, service, or content from the Platform, you do so at your own risk and you agree that Lenovo will have no liability arising from your use of or access to any third party website, product, service, or content.
Trademarks and Ownership of Intellectual Property
Lenovo™, the Lenovo logo, and certain other product names and phrases are trademarks or service marks of Lenovo in the U.S. and/or other countries. The absence of a trademark or service mark designation next to a product or service name or logo belonging to Lenovo anywhere on the Platform does not constitute a waiver of Lenovo’s trademark or other intellectual property rights concerning that name or logo used or referenced on the Platform.
The Platform contains content owned or licensed by Lenovo ("Lenovo Content"). Lenovo Content is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret and other laws, and, as between you and Lenovo, Lenovo owns and retains all copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent and other intellectual property rights in and to Lenovo Content and the Platform (the “Intellectual Property”). Lenovo reserves all rights in the Lenovo Content and Intellectual Property not expressly granted in these Terms. Lenovo does not permit the use of the Lenovo Content or its Intellectual Property in advertising, as an endorsement for any product or service, or for any other purpose, commercial or otherwise, without the prior express written permission of Lenovo.
Termination
You may terminate use of the Platform at any time for any reason (in other words, un-register). Lenovo may terminate or suspend your right to use the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice to you. Lenovo may terminate the Platform at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and other rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. Following termination, Lenovo may retain your Content for a commercially reasonable period of time for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, Lenovo and its other users may retain and continue to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, and distribute any of your Content that other users have stored or shared through the Platform.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lenovo and its employees, officers, affiliates and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with any of the following: (i) Your Content or your misuse of the Platform; (ii) your breach or alleged breach of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation, any intellectual property right, publicity, confidentiality, property or privacy right; (iv) your violation of any laws, rules, regulations, codes, statutes, ordinances or orders of any governmental authorities, including, without limitation, all regulatory, administrative and legislative authorities; or (v) any misrepresentation made by you. You will cooperate as reasonably requested by Lenovo with respect to any such claim. Lenovo reserves the right to assume control of the defence or settlement of any such claim, and you will not in any event settle any such claim without the prior written consent of Lenovo.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England.
Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with Lenovo’s Data Privacy Policy and any amendments and any additional agreements you may enter into with Lenovo in connection with the Platform, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Lenovo concerning the Platform. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
Limitations of Liability
Neither Lenovo nor its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, third party content providers, sponsors, or licensors warrant that the Site will be continuous, uninterrupted or error-free. THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS CONTENT, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, LENOVO HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTIES BASED ON A COURSE OF DEALING. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LENOVO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR USE, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE LEGION COMMUNITY, EVEN IF LENOVO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH DAMAGES IN ADVANCE.
