@CandelaSynth I haven’t played Citizen Sleeper yet, but it’s on my radar now 😁 It seems to have vibes similar to Disco Elysium, which I absolutely adored.

Exactly, they both share the old role games table-top system (I wonder, would they ever be back?) as an inspiration and also a fantastic writing.
I haven´t completed Disco Elysium yet...(I knowwww, sorryyyy!), I have to find a quiet time to immerse in it fully : )

@Telomina That is indeed what happened, I tried watching it for the first time, I dunno, maybe 3 or 4 years ago? And then it did not click. But I want to say age alone is not always a factor, I mean, Yes, Minister is much older than that, but it can still give modern sitcoms a run for their money. Or The Nanny, also older but still quite enjoyable to watch. So it was more about ageing well, I think you're right.

Ah, by "varied" I meant more that I prefer a mix of games for a variety of gameplay options these days. I would welcome the suggestion still! 😊

Yeah, those projects are becoming more and more popular... The sad thing is those projects often backfire in unexpected ways, like how when people introduced certain species to Australia, for example. Let's hope it will turn out better this time.

Why did you get a mouse with holes, they are not very practical this way. I used to have something like that, not this one but something like this:

The advert said it is better for hands not to get sweaty while gaming. I did not really feel the difference and it was not that comfortable to hold, too, and it was getting dirty very quickly indeed. Is yours like this one?

Ah, tea is a rich subject. A couple of years back we had a whole thread about it by @Saka, maybe it's time to revive it. As for Myanmar tea, here is a post about it from that thread 😊 🍵

Ah, Armageddon. It was such an odd movie when you think about it objectively. I mean, training miners to be astronauts and not the other way around is a bit...on top of everything else...rather than contemplating the vastness of space, it damaged my faith in screenwriter logic. A faith that, I must admit, has not been restored all that much since then 😅 Still, with that 2024 YR4 asteroid looming on the horizon, Armageddon may have a renaissance...

@DoctorEldritch ah, then I can definitely get why you didn't really like "How I met your mother".

A mix of games, today I actually played an upcoming small student-dev team's game. But I will write more about that in another thread.

I got my mouse for free, one cannot be picky when it's free. And I do like it, I get less pains in my arm when moving the mouse around, but that was mostly to do with the "CPI". And it weights very little whilst the grip is firm. So I have enjoyed it. Just not the cleaning part. As for the sweat, I wonder if there is any mouse with a more rough texture like the Xbox series controllers have, I believe that would really help with a firm grip. Maybe I should patent it otherwise🤔

A big tea-thread. I need to go and have a look.

Oh gosh, do not remind me of that one. Even staying indoors won't help from tiny splinters, but nonetheless the week it is calculated to hit I will not be leaving my apartment.

@ZaidH I haven't played that game personally. But it has a really big player-base and I have heard great things from people whose game-opinions I trust :D

@CandelaSynth @Telomina Not only is Disco Elysium incredibly entertaining, but the story behind its dev studio is just as intriguing and sad. If you’re interested in game development, the downfall of ZA/UM is a must read.

@Telomina I'll trust you on that. Can't make an informed comment on this one as by informing myself I would invalidate the result 😉

    Look forward to it!

Ah, yeah, free is always better 😊 But it does sound rather good. How often do you usually clean it? If you need to do it every week like a regular cleaning, then it is a bother, but if it's once a month or rare, then it seems manageable.

Brew yourself a cup of tea and enjoy reading about it while seeping. Full immersion!

Ah, well, it is calculated to have a small chance of hitting in 2032, but humanity is planning to have a countermeasure prepared for such a chance. So no need to worry. And yet...if not Armageddon, then Don't Look Up comes to mind 😅
@ZaidH I just finished Citizen Sleeper yesterday, it is quite a short game, you can finish it in a week tops, but there is a fair amount of reading. And it is quite good.

    @DoctorEldritch 🤣Yeah, sorry. I can't help myself sometimes.

Oh, I try to not wipe it down too often, if I start thinking about it I won't be able to stop and then I'll wipe it multiple times per day. The opening it had failed, so that one is eh...never. But it's not old. So it isn't too bad. If I start to get grossed out I could always use my multi-connector mouse still.

Ah yes, I'll put on the kettle. We can pretend I own a kettle.

"Don't look up" I have successfully managed to avoid so far.
@ZaidH I am a bit interested in that, I will have to look it up one day. Maybe not read a sad story on Feb 14th, so it will have to wait.

@DoctorEldritch Oooh good to know! The "survival" aspects in the game look kinda intimidating, but hopefully playing it will make everything click.

@Telomina Lols yeah, ZA/UM is the very embodiment of a nasty separation. Good call on not reading about it yesterday 😂

@ZaidHi was googling them a bit, and saw that the company is now back up...and hiring :o

@Telomina I wipe my mouse about once a week with an alcohol wipe, and that's about it. It is constructed in such a way that it does not really need any more thorough cleaning as it has no places that'd get dirty apart from the surface.

You do not own a kettle? Gasp. Why not? If proper ones are not practical, then electric ones could substitute, surely?

You do not like satirical dark comedies?

Speaking of recommendations, have you tried Distant Bloom?

I recently read that it is being ported to other platforms now, and thought that it could be something you may like. And it's supporting the home team, it's made by the Ember Trail Games studio from Sweden. 😊
