Honestly, the free version of chatgpt is good enough for me. Chatgpt is actually helpful IF you're not using it to make the work for you. It's great at summarizing information and presenting it in a way anyone can understand. Not only that, it has such a vast amount of information that it can literally pull anything from anywhere and explain it to you. I've used it to learn Radio Communications, Signal Processing, Networking, Electronics using active components like transistors of different types (BJT, JFET and MOSFETs) a helluva lot of physics (a lot pertaining Waves and Electromagnetism), programming, and no, not it actually writing complex programs, just helping me understand the basics and what each of the things in the specific programming languages do ( I tried to make it combine the programs it taught me into a more complex one, but it made a spaghetti code of unprecedented proportions, BUT it did actually teach me very well the basics!). It also can't do math at times, like it messing up integration or using different transforms (signal processing stuff). But anyways, the free version of Chatgpt is awesome for teaching concepts, not very good at programming, sometimes bad at math, but overall very good for learning. However, its also important that you document yourself on the topic you're studying from other sources too! Youtube, Wikipedia, books work fine too. But putting my study advice aside, this version of chatgpt should be more than enough if you're using it for the same purposes I do. Information finding? free's good enough. Art? its bad and even the paid version sucks. Video generation? Both versions spit out what coke induced fever dreams look like, and all you're doing is throwing money out the window if you want it for that. Overall, not worth it, and I hope my info helped someone find a new tool to help them study!

I'd pay for it if I was working, it's like you have your own assistant for like 20$..

Yeah, the paid version doesn't seem to be miles ahead of the free version, so I don't see the point. I don't use the free version a lot anyway.

@manna25 not sure, so far I have been using the free version only and rarely I feel the need to go for the paid one!

Yeah think paid only makes sense if you need to use it professionally. Free goes a long way otherwise.

I think we are forgetting that most of us do actually use ChatGPT 4o, we just don't exhaust the usage as we don't use it as much
