The Lenovo Legion H600 Wireless Gaming Headset may feel a bit heavy at first, but you quickly get used to it. The sound is pleasant and comfortable, and the headset blocks out external noise well. The microphone turns on and gives an audio signal when you lower it, and turns off when you raise it so it aligns with the headband.
However, there is one downside: you can't see how much battery is left, and that would have been a nice feature.

That's one good looking headset 😄 I'd imagine it has a nice soundstage, judging by the size of the ear cups. Happy gaming!

@ZaidH Speaking of the size of the ear cups, this is an interesting aspect to me. I have two pairs of headsets right now, the older one has bigger ear cups, and is quite comfortable to wear. The newer one I thought would be an upgrade, but its ear cups are actually smaller, so wearing it for long leaves my ears...cramped? I guess?

I guess it is individual, as ear size is different for different people, maybe mine are just too big 😅 Still, I want to ask, @LarsJacobsen, how do you find the ear cup size?

I just had to get used to them, as they are a little different than my Sony Headset, but otherwise I don't see anything wrong.

@ZaidH I think it has good sound, and it's nice that there is the option to adjust the volume independently of the computer.

@DoctorEldritch If you're willing to take a slight hit or change to the sound curve of your new headset, then maybe changing its ear cups might be a good option. There's a thriving headset mod scene out there, so there's a good possibility that you'll find ear cups with a size suited for your ears at a reasonable cost. Or you can do what I did. My HyperX Cloud II headset's ear cups looked like they were chewed by a mad dog (6-7 years of use), so I contacted HyperX asking if they had any ear cups in stock, and they sent me comfier ear cups with better material, for free 😄

If you don't mind me asking, what headsets do you own now? The aforementioned HyperX headset is on its last legs, so I'm looking at options in advance before it kicks the bucket 😭

@LarsJacobsen That's pretty cool! I believe you can also change the Equalization settings of your headset via one of the Legion apps, so you can easily find the sound that's attuned to what you like 😄 Looking forward to reading your long term review of the H600 after you've used it for some time 😁

@LarsJacobsen that is good to hear, but "get used to them" in what sense, exactly? Slightly different shape?

@ZaidH I am not sure you can just change earcups. I mean, you can change the soft bits easily enough and should do so regularly anyway, for cleaning, but the actual plastic cum is fixed in place and size, I think. And that is what is setting up the size of the cup in mine, not the soft replaceable bit.

I do not mind, the pair I currently have is SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro. And the one I had before in a more comfortable size was the SteelSeries Arctis Pro. I upgraded to the next model, and it is smaller for some reason.

Good question! I meant that when switching from another headset – in my case a lighter one with a slightly different ear‑cup shape – the H600 initially felt a bit heavier and different on the head. But after a short while, you stop noticing it. The weight distribution is actually quite balanced, and the padding helps a lot. So it’s not uncomfortable, just a matter of getting used to a new feel.
By the way, I’ll go back and edit my original write‑up to include this context so it’s clear why I mentioned ‘getting used to it. :)

@LarsJacobsen Thank you for clarifying, it makes sense. I had an adjustment period similar to that myself when I changed my headphones, but while I got used to a different weight and headband (I guess?), I never managed to get quite used to the smaller cup size.

I think it is fine to leave the write‑up as it is now, too: what you mean is clear in our following discussion 😉
