@DracoTarot II thought about it since then, and I thought that maybe Arcane and Edgerunners are decent examples of ageing, and it is not entirely a young adult series either. I do not mind if it happens this way, but the time jumps there were not that big.

Maybe they were hoping for a bit of hype this way after that episode...

Hmm, not sure about Futurama, I watched it since it was revived (again) and new seasons are ok, but lack that zest of when it first started. I wish they thought of something completely new.

@DoctorEldritch Anything aging like good wine is always a winner including a series. If producers follow that route it's all good. I don't like when they skip a few years ahead and all of a sudden the characters are way older than before. In a movie it's fine by me.

I think it's their plan to create hype among viewers.

I haven't watched any episodes since last year. If there's no zest anymore I won't be interested to watch it. 😶

@DracoTarot I'd say if the plot calls for it, then it is more or less fine. Besides, sometimes there can be time jumps even without much character ageing, like they did in Foundation.

Likely so, Family Guy did the same. Ironic how The Simpsons did something after Family Guy, usually, it is the opposite 😅

It's not that lack of zest makes it bad, it is just that the social commentary seems to be dialled down a bit. I'd say it is still enjoyable if you liked it before.

@DracoTarot Something peculiar happened this weekend. Usually it happens with me and @ZaidH, but it seems that it may be spreading 😅 I mean that when we start talking about a genre or a game or something, it appears in the news in sme form shortly after.

In our case, we were talking about ageing in series. And just now, a trailer comes along for the upcoming new series called Long Story Short:

The whole concept is following one family throughout a long period of time. And it is from Raphael Bob-Waksberg, creator of BoJack. So that's one more reason to watch Bojack, and if you like it, you may like LSS too.

@DoctorEldritch The powers couldn’t have spread to a better person 😁 @DracoTarot forgive me for not knowing much about how tarot cards and readings work, but is there a system or belief where obsessively thinking about something (like a sequel to the game Bully, in my case) can somehow help nudge it into reality?

As for the show, it genuinely looks amazing! I haven’t seen Bojack Horseman, but I’ve only heard good things about it, so here’s hoping this show is on a similar level. Thanks for putting it on my radar 😄

    @ZaidH I think it's called "wishful thinking" 😅

I watched Bojack and I liked it. What's keeping you from giving it a try?

In other news, worry not, for there is plenty of mystic powers to go around. In this case, I just read that the Indonesian studio Gamecom Team is working on Troublemaker 2: Beyond Dream, they got a new trailer and a release date for the 15th of September this year. I have not heard about this game before, so I looked into the first part, and from the looks of it, this game is what would happen if Yakuza and Bully had an indie baby in Indonesia:

With the second part on the horizon, I want to give the first game a try. As a Bully successor, it looks promising, and Indonesia is a refreshing setting. Have you heard about this one?

@DoctorEldritch It happens to me often these days. My mom an I will discuss a topic or mention something and shortly after it's on TV or in a article. 😅

Long story short... I'm going to watch Long Story Short after Bojack. 🤣

@DracoTarot That's a reason to only talk about the good things 😊

I will give Long Story Short a watch when it's out. They seem to be so confident in its success that the second season was greenlit before the first one even started 😅 I'd want to think that this vote of confidence is a good sign. After I watch it, I'll be able to more confidently recommend it (or not, on the off-chance that it is not as good).

@ZaidH I do believe when you have the right mindset and in your heart you believe something will manifest, it will. Tarot readings are based on the same principle. The cards and the reader merely serve as a guide and fortell what may have happened in the past, what to expect in the present and how to change circumstances. 🙂

@DracoTarot Within reason, I want to say. If all circumstances could be made better by positive thinking alone, we'd probably live in a much better and/or crazier world.
