@DoctorEldritch Then I'm sure No, I'm not a Human will be a game I'll enjoy.

Chocolate discounts are awesome. Don't forget about all the other treats like pastries and cakes. Yet again, what can be seen as discounts? Things are already expensive and prices are intentionally inflated for special days like Christmas. In the end you still pay the normal price r even more.

@DracoTarot It's been very popular. It's on my list, I was waiting for them to polish it a bit. I may give it a try if it is on sale later this year, and then I'll be able to tell you how I found it.

Pastries and cakes are all fine, but chocolate is the best. As for the discounts, I want to say yes and no. Usual chocolates may indeed have a bit of an inflated price before holidays, but thematic confectionery you can often get with a relatively good discount after the event. No one will need those chocolate pumpkins or gingerbread houses for a year now, they need to go.

@DoctorEldritch Waiting for a sale is a good idea. In the meantime I will testsrun the game on my friends profile like usual. 😅

This year we had no good deals. During this month shops will be more expensive and around Christmas I guarantee the prices will be even more outrageous.

Milking customers will be retailers main mission.

@DracoTarot As far as I've seen, it is a fairly short game (like Papers, Please). So chances are, the test run of the game may actually use it all up 😅

What about Black Friday, do you have something like that?

True, but this is how the economy works. Selling for profit is literally a retailer's job description, we can hardly put that against them.

@DoctorEldritch Short games are a bit of a letdown especially if the game is a whole lot of fun. Oh wel, I will see when I try it out.

We do have a Black Friday. The thing is some of those discounts are not really a discount. They are very sneaky when it comes to prices and deals. Most electronics marked down are floor and display models or demo's. Same with food. I have seen items near expiry date been sold for very cheap.

One way or another the shops and retailers do not lose out on a deal. It's like a casino. The casino always wins.

It makes sense. A retailer needs to make profit and I understand why they must swindle a little otherwise the business won't survive but try and hide it a little more. For example do not sell a product with a 12 month warranty and when it breaks within the 12 month's tell the customer it was a demo and only valid for 6 months.

I will definitely put such a cenario against them.

@DracoTarot I am not so sure, short means that you get to play and finish more games in a shorter period of time, and time, as ever, remains one of the most precious resources. Not having to spend too much of it for the proper "full game start-to-finish" experience can be beneficial.

Then again, it reminded me of that ironic quote from The Three Musketeers:

“My faith, my dear Aramis,” said d’Artagnan, who detested verses almost as much as he did Latin, “add to the merit of the difficulty that of the brevity, and you are sure that your poem will at least have two merits.”

Ah well, marketing tricks and tactics are numerous and murky, and hard to navigate indeed. My strategy is to follow something i want to buy for a long time, like half a year, before the sale, so that I know how the price of it has changed over time and can better see if the discount is genuine or not.

@DoctorEldritch Makes sense what you're saying. It can be beneficial in the end

I wonder if any studios are willing to make another Three Musketeers movie or series. There's a lot of actors who would fit the roles if the musketeers.

@DracoTarot Matter of taste and preference, as with everything, I guess. I mean, there are those "endless" games like Fortnite or Counter-Strike 2 that people play, content that there is no end in sight.

There was that duology just 2 years ago:

    and

With Eva Green, even. Do you want something even newer than this?

@DoctorEldritch I want even never than those two. Producers must make a new film with the most talented actors out there. Just one last one for the fun of it. I wonder if Jonny Depp and Keanu Reeves would be interested in those roles.

Wait, what do you mean? 🤔

Producers must make a new film with the most talented actors out there. Just one last one for the fun of it. I wonder if Jonny Depp and Keanu Reeves would be interested in those roles.

Hmm, who would you have them play? Keanu may be a good Athos, maybe, but who would Depp play?

Besides, both of them are rather old. If we want to go for source accuracy, then D'Artagnan is 18 years old (when the story starts), both Porthos and Aramis are in their early 20s, and Athos is in his late 20s. Even in this film, they are all older than that.

Besides, every epoch has its own heroes. For modern audiences, The Three Musketeers may be something more like
