Yo si, de hace años y bueno claro a mi flamante Legion 5 (véase mi firma, jajaja), pues, inicialmente le he puesto Windows y ahí seguirá claro, pero me gustaría ponerle un dual boot con alguna distro Gaming.
No se si aquí estáis métidos en ese rollo o me vais a mirar raro 😊.
Resumiendo, yo soy de Googlear muuuucho y si, que si cachy os, bazzite, pop os, nobara, etc
Pero todas parecen tener bastantes problemas con nuestra estufa gaming.
Digamos que no he podido sacar una opinión en claro, por mucho que he googleado.
Algun@ de vosotr@s usáis alguna distro gaming con vuestros Legion y si puede ser mi mismo modelo, entonces ya..., jajaja.

Desde mi experiencia (no como experto, sino por uso y pegarme cabezazos contra la pared), el mayor problema de estabilidad que tiene cualquier distribución de linux son los drivers privativos de nvidia, así que de vez en cuando algún problemilla va a ocurrir (tener que reiniciar el pc , volver a una versión antigua de drivers...), da igual la distro. Además ahora que ya están dando sólo soporte para wayland en la mayoría de distros grandes, los drivers fallan más.
Yo personalmente no tengo un Legion (uso minipcs con apus AMD), y al menos en Fedora todo funciona perfectamente sin tener que configurar nada.
Molaría un Legion full AMD, la verdad. (Y una "Legion Box" compatible con SteamOS también)

Buenas, para sacar el máximo rendimiento posible te recomendaría Cachy OS; pero para una experiencia de usuario mas estilo Steam, te recomendaría Bazzite.
Para control de temperatura, ventilación y potencia; échale un ojo a esto: LenovoLegionLinux, LegionGui, Power-Profiles-Daemon, EnvyControl.
Teniendo experiencia en linux seguro que lo afinas bien 😉
Hola a tod@ssss. Sip cachy os, me llama mucho la atención, pero tiene el problema, según he visto por San Google, que para dejarla fina para gaming hay que cacharrearla muuuucho y por eso os preguntaba, porque ahora no estoy en el momento de cacharrearl.
La idea era una distro que me sirviera para distro y para gaming. Bazzite me llama la atención, se habla maravillas de ella, pero para usarla también como distro, parece un poco especial, solo admite flatpak, me parece, creo que ha sido concebida para usarla exclusivamente para gaming y no es la idea que llevo.
Había pensado en Nobara, no se si la habéis tenido instalada o algo, porque vale para gaming y como distro.
La idea es, si consigo jugar bien en una distro a lo que juegue normalmente, con el tiempo darle puerta a Windows y dejar solo Linux en el Legion, difícil tarea, lo sé.
@CandelaSynth El problema de los drivers de las gráficas, suele ser por culpa de Nvidia, porque no han apostado por Linux, todo y así hay Distros que lo soportan muy bien, como debían y cualquier Ubuntu o derivadas de esta, pero es gracias a la gracia de Linux, no por ningún apoyo de Nvidia.
Con amd, antaño, pasaba lo mismo, pero apostaron por Linux y ahora amd funciona bastante bien en Linux, tanto con drivers libres, como privativos.
Osea para jugar con cero problemas en Linux, si todo es amd, pues mucho mejor, o al menos la gráfica.
Pero todos sabemos que lo mejor para jugar, de siempre es nvidia, pero es posible, que depende que distro uses puedas tener problemas, Distros optimizadas para gaming, por ejemplo, porque suelen ser rolling release y en algún momento, se te puede romper.
También puedes jugar con Distros estables, como he mencionado, debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc, pero obtienes menos rendimiento que con una optimizada o eso se supone.
Es todo un mundo @CandelaSynth, esto es solo un pequeño resumen eso si, es todo un mundo, pero un mundo apasionante, al menos para mí.

Depende de la experiencia que tenga cada uno, ya que si sabes un poquito de GNU/Linux en unos minutos pones el entorno de escritorio que mas te guste.
Pero si es para gaming, es saber cual es la que tiene drivers mas actuales habitualmente para ese dispositivo, lo cual personalmente desconozco, o si x distros tienen repos o paquetes especificos para ellas.
En mi caso por ejemplo seguramente usaría una base Debian o incluso Arch si quiere usar los paquetes diseñados para SteamOS, intento usar lo mas genérico porque no le daría solo uso gaming siéndome así mas fácil usar cosas personalizadas.
Si es solo para gaming revisa la que vaya mejor de serie con menos numeros de configuraciones y mas optimizaciones para la gpu que monta, y que tenga menos conflictos de drivers, ya que si tiene un repositorio en el que añadan las actualizaciones para tenerlo siempre al dia siempre sera mas comodo claro.
Así que algo que podría ayudar a decantarte por uno en particular es si alguno tuviera soporte especial para alguna función especifica de tu portátil como ajustes inteligentes, botonera especial o lo que sea.
El conocimiento es poder, úsalo bien, pues su mal uso conlleva a la destrucción.

Tu tienes dual de linux en tu LOQ? o con windows te apañas?
Si, nobara está basada en Fedora y es una distro orientada a gaming, porque está optimizada para ello, pero te sirve, también, como sistema operativo para todo.
También existe Garuda Dragonized, basada en arch linux (el sistema operativo de la steam deck), que es un caso igual, está optimizada para gaming y sirve como distro normal, de hecho Garuda, tiene una edición especial para gaming, pero tienen otras que no, que son normales.
Lo mismo que Garuda, ocurre con Cachy os, solo que cachy es diferente, me he estado informando y es una distro normal, bastante afinada en cuanto a consumo de recursos y luego le instalas, si quieres, unos paquetes que ellos mismos han optimizado para gaming y ya está, no tienes que hacerle nada más, que yo pensaba que si.
Y hay más orientadas a gaming, pero estas junto con bazzite, son las más optimizadas de serie para gaming.
También tiene mucha fama pop os, pero en realidad, aunque se ve que va muy bien, no está realmente optimizada para gaming, solo que trae los drivers necesarios para tu gráfica integrados, pero no trae ni steam, lo tienes que instalar tu, pero también es una buena apuesta, más conservadora porque se basa en Ubuntu lts y es más difícil que se te rompa, porque su filósofia es la estabilidad, todo lo contrario a nobara, garuda, cachy, que su filosofía es estar a la última de la ultima, por eso se supone que son mejor para gaming exigente, pero tienes más peligro de que se te rompa, aunque cachy, tiene puntos de restauración, snapshots o algo así le llaman.
Todo un mundo vamos.
Si te apasiona, si tienes un pc o portátil viejo por ahí, puedes probar a instalarle Linux mint o Zorin os y alucinar un poco 🤣🤣

Pues mira, hace más de 15 años (soy vieja) me instalé Ubuntu porque me gusta mucho como suena eso del software libre, pero mi ineptitud en el tema me hizo volver a Windows y desde entonces no lo he vuelto a probar.
Para este año recién estrenado, quería aprender a montar ordenadores, porque siempre me ha atraído mucho este tema y he estado mirando tutoriales pa montarme uno en plan experimento (con la idea d emeterle Linux en plan experimento también, jejej) pero vaya momento me ha dado para decidirme a hacer esto, con las RAMs por las nubes (y demás noticias que dicen que el resto también subirá).
Les echaré un ojo a Mint o Zorin, que no los conocía ni de nombre 😅

Legion Community enables its registered users (the “Users") to post and share content, such as information about Lenovo products, services, events, social media activity and videos ("Content”) to the Platform.
Legion Community is provided by Lenovo through the services of Standing on Giants subject to these Terms (“Terms”). We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time and without notice. If we amend the Terms, we will post the amended Terms on this page gaming.lenovo.com/emea/register/ and indicate at the top of the page the date the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Your Use of Legion Community Platform
ELIGIBILITY. This Program is open to Participants who are age 18 years or older at the time of entry. The approximate retail values of rewards are subject to change based on current market conditions at the time of reward redemption. Participants are not entitled to any surplus between actual retail value (ARV) of a reward and stated ARV and any difference between stated ARV and actual value of the reward will not be awarded. Your Content Posted or Linked to Legion Community
Lenovo allows you to submit posts or link content to Legion Community, including photos, images, videos, sounds, comments, links, tweets, likes, and other materials. A Legion Community moderator may moderate posts after publication. Lenovo reserves the right to remove user’s content that it considers to be irrelevant to the purpose of the platform, or that it considers violates any of these Terms. Lenovo may also post or link to the Platform any of your Content that you make available to Lenovo for the Platform. You are solely responsible for your Content that is posted or linked to the Platform and Lenovo accepts no liability for your Content.
You grant Lenovo and other users of the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, publish, re-post, re-tweet, and distribute your Content on or in connection with the Platform.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary in your Content for it to be on or available from the Platform, and that the posting and use of your Content on or through the Platform does not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any third party, including, without limitation, privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark and/or other intellectual property rights. Representations and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:

Visiting Third Party Websites
The Platform may contain links to third party websites, advertisers, products, services, offers, or other events or activities that are not owned or controlled by Lenovo. Lenovo does not assume any responsibility for any such third party sites, information, materials, products, services or offers. If you access any third party website, product, service, or content from the Platform, you do so at your own risk and you agree that Lenovo will have no liability arising from your use of or access to any third party website, product, service, or content.
Trademarks and Ownership of Intellectual Property
Lenovo™, the Lenovo logo, and certain other product names and phrases are trademarks or service marks of Lenovo in the U.S. and/or other countries. Termination
You may terminate use of the Platform at any time for any reason (in other words, un-register). Lenovo may terminate or suspend your right to use the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice to you. Lenovo may terminate the Platform at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and other rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. Following termination, Lenovo may retain your Content as permitted by applicable law for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, Lenovo and its other users may retain and continue to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, and distribute any of your Content that other users have stored or shared through the Platform.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lenovo and its employees, officers, affiliates and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with any of the following: (i) Your Content or your misuse of the Platform; (ii) your breach or alleged breach of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation, any intellectual property right, publicity, confidentiality, property or privacy right; (iv) your violation of any laws, rules, regulations, codes, statutes, ordinances or orders of any governmental authorities, including, without limitation, all regulatory, administrative and legislative authorities; or (v) any misrepresentation made by you. These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with Lenovo’s Data Privacy Policy and any amendments and any additional agreements you may enter into with Lenovo in connection with the Platform, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Lenovo concerning the Platform. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
Limitations of Liability
Neither Lenovo nor its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, third party content providers, sponsors, or licensors warrant that the Site will be continuous, uninterrupted or error-free. THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS CONTENT, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
