    Hello folks!

For many years now, we've been offering the option of regular play sessions with the Legion Community Managers called GameTogether.

In recent times, we've noted that a limited number of people join for these gaming sessions and we wanted to speak to you, the community, to see how we can improve this experience or perhaps bring more of you in to play with us!

So, we want your thoughts! We have a number of questions to pose that, with your help, will guide us to changing GameTogether into something more enticing for members.

We're interested in hearing from people who have already taken part in previous sessions, but also from people who haven't taken part in a GameTogether. Please feel free to answer as few or as many of these questions as you see fit — all of your answers will go towards guiding the future of GameTogether!

    Questions

    1. Would you be more likely to take part in regional or international GameTogether sessions?
    2. What time would most entice you to take part? (We currently play around 5PM UK)
    3. What specific games or genres would most entice you to take part?
    4. Would a long-term project be exciting, and if so, what? (Minecraft server, MMO, etc.)
    5. How would you like to see GameTogether incentivised? (Tournaments, badges, etc.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. Every response makes a difference. We'll be reading through all of your feedback and using it to shape the future of #GameTogether. We can't wait to see what you come up with, and hopefully see more of you in our sessions very soon!

The language barrier can definitely make a difference. For me, Arabic and English aren’t really a problem but in international sessions there’s usually a big mix of languages and that can make communication harder if there isn’t one clear common language between everyone. And honestly not everyone feels comfortable speaking multiple languages so that can affect how smooth and relaxed the experience feels.

Another thing is the type of games. Some games work great for international sessions but they really need simple in game communication tools like quick pings or map markers instead of relying too much on voice chat especially in fast-paced games that need coordination.

I also think games that are easy to jump into work better overall. If a game needs too much setup, too much grinding, or a lot of learning before people can actually enjoy playing together, a lot of players might lose interest quickly.

And accessibility matters too. Free games or games that a lot of people already own usually make it easier for more players to join without feeling forced to spend money just for one or two sessions.

At the same time, some games take too long before they actually become fun, and that can make people lose interest early. Plus, some games have limited party sizes, so choosing the right game for a session is important too.

Personally I think casual or free games that are easy to jump into work best especially co-op games, party games or mini games that let a lot of people join together easily.

Best time for me would probably be around 9 or 10 PM since that’s when I’m usually free and can join comfortably.

And honestly the most important thing is just picking games that are easy to understand with simple communication tools and a relaxed setup that works for both new and experienced players so everyone can just enjoy the session.

As for incentives, badges, roles, or even game codes could be pretty nice motivators too.

@UnapologeticDino I would suggest different time slots, maybe just two would be good, keep the 5PM UK as well as adding in a later slot, around 8-9PM, I believe this would accommodate everyone nicely.

Stick to free games only since not everyone would either be able to purchase the game due to affordability or would just not have the game in general. International games would pose greater challenges like high pings and languages as mentioned by @Abdelsalam

as for the game genres, as long as its age appropriate I think it should be good, there are plenty free games which can accommodate for everyone. This will also tie in with long term projects, maybe something like ark survival as well or even Minecraft as mentioned.

incentives would be great, although the whole point is to be here and have fun, I think it would give everyone a chance to be motivated. Show them skills off, the game codes could also help those who don't have a specific game join a different session should the game come up.

as long as we have fun and GameTogether we should be good.

I will definitely join again as soon as I have my pc back up and running.

    1. Would you be more likely to take part in regional or international GameTogether sessions?-----------anything really but regional would be more fun since same language
    2. What time would most entice you to take part? (We currently play around 5PM UK)
      --anything after work hrs
    3. What specific games or genres would most entice you to take part?
--most commonly downloaded games like counterstrike or Valorant since we don't have to download an entire game probably 50gb for 1 night
    4. Would a long-term project be exciting, and if so, what? (Minecraft server, MMO, etc.)
      --sure
    5. How would you like to see GameTogether incentivised? (Tournaments, badges, etc.)
      --badges would be nice

problem with game nights is that I don't get a notification so i only get to know after it has already happened , also the community we have is a bit small to find more than 5 people willing to play same game at the same time
