depends on the budget, but Lenovo covers it all
mid budget you can get LOQ and Legion 5, but you can go higher with Legion 7 and 9, in each group of those you would find a huge variety for CPUs, GPUs, screen size and type, cooling system and power
and since you didn't mention a budget I'd recommend to choose a model from Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 series if you already don't have a setup, but if you do, a Legion 5 Gen 10 model would be more than enough for a perfect gaming experience

i have the Yoga Pro 9 16IAH10 Model 83L0004AUK and its very good. lightweight, if not gaming or running some heavy duty tasks then the battery lasts about 4 hours, so i can recommend my laptop to you too.

One thing tho, gaming laptops are usually kinda heavy so keep that in mind if you’re gonna be traveling a lot.
If you want something a bit lighter or cheaper Legion 5 or LOQ are still great for 1080p gaming.
And if you want the absolute top performance you can check out Legion 7 or Legion 9 depending on your budget.

@Blanstna There are plenty of choices, but I think there are 4 models that cover everything needed.
    • LOQ: budget option with solid chassis. Ideal for those wanting an entry-level gaming laptop or a portable option to accompany a Desktop one. Recommended GPU: 5060.
    • Legion 5Pro: medium-high option for Professionals and Dedicated Gamers. Solidity, Performance, fair price in this range. Recommended GPU: 5070Ti.
    • Legion 7 Pro: High End Option for Enthusiasts. When budget is not a limit and you want everything w/o compromises. Recommended GPU: 5080.
    • Legion 7i: Portability & Gaming in medium level option. Less Performance but more Slim Design and high-quality OLED screen. Recommended GPU: 5070.
Which one you prefer it's up to you!

If you need light weight and portable, Keep an eye out for the Legion 7a Gen 11 - 15ASH11

It is supposedly releasing next month and will come with the AMD Strix Halo APU. 8 core and 12 core variant with 40 CU Radeon 8060s. all in one chip. It's going to be very light weight and has performance roughly on par with an Nvidia RTX 4060-4070m. So likely 15% slower than the more heavier and much hotter and larger models with the RTX 5060.

Since you’ll be travelling a lot, I’d recommend the Legion 7a Gen 11. It weighs under 1.85 kg, has a 16-inch 240 Hz OLED display, an 84 Wh battery and up to an RTX 5060, so it offers a good balance between portability and gaming power.

for travelling its better to have something light, i liked Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 , its small and compact , not much heavy , even good for backpacking ,

If portability is the main goal, it may be worth comparing a handheld PC with a gaming laptop too. Do you need a laptop for work and a larger screen, or is easy carry and short gaming sessions the priority? That would change the recommendation quite a bit.
