@DracoTarot Oh yes, I noticed that! Was it AI-generated? That's a lot of beard.

@DoctorEldritch LOL!! I do have a beard but I'm a patchy grower. Tried to grow a full lion's mane but ended up looking more like an old worn-out mop. 😂

    Yes, it's AI-generated.

    @DracoTarot That's a pretty neat profile picture!

My neck managed to heal through the weekend, there's just a slight stiffness left, but it should fade eventually. Glad your injury is healing well!

@DoctorEldritch I have to agree with Draco that the hotpot bot is rather difficult to tame. Sometimes it gives results quite close to desired, sometimes far cry from them.

@Saka The profile picture is not really what I was looking for. The AI got close but there are still elements missing. The bot is rather difficult to tame. 😊

Glad to hear you are feeling better and your neck healed. I have so much work to do around the house and with my shoulder still healing I'm not able to lift heavy stuff and it annoys me. At least I can focus on the less demanding tasks for now.

@DracoTarot Fingers crossed that you get there soon enough, before the backlog overwhelms you. At least you can get started with the lighter tasks, which is a nice start. 😊 I scrubbed the bathroom from limescale yesterday (well, most of it) and it was so satisfying.

... Honestly, whoever thought white gaps between the tiles were a good idea, needs to get real instead of getting inspiration from fashion magazines. It doesn't take long before they take on a reddish shade from the limescale and it looks quite gross.

In the Polish community someone linked this drawing bot: https://scribblediffusion.com/ I haven't tried it myself yet (Chronic migraines, I got a huge backlog now ). Maybe it would give you better results since you can both draw and give a prompt.

@Saka We both shared the same adventure yesterday. 😊 Usually on a Wednesday me and my mom clean our house from top to bottom and one of my tasks was to rid our shower of limescale.

I totally agree with you. The gaps between the tiles are awful and a hassle to clean. What I did to prevent limescale from building up between the tiles was to apply a water base silicone. I left it for a few days to dry. Then I purchased polytetrafluoroethylene. It's a chemical coating used for nonstick pans and various other things.

I then applied the polytetrafluoroethylene with a fine brush between the tiles where I applied the silicone before. If there is a limescale or some type of nasty buildup between the tiles it comes off easily with a little soap and water. You can also coat the whole tile area with polytetrafluoroethylene but it would be a little expensive to do.

It makes my life much easier. Also do not use a clear silicone and preferably white. A clear silicone may fade after a bit and become black underneath. The white silicone not so much.

Thanks for the link. I will as the bot for a few drawings and see how it goes.

I'm so tired of megrains myself and know how you feel. Mine comes out of nowhere especially when I'm busy with something important. Unfortunately ther are no cure. I do have some holistic medicines that helps during an attack but afterwards when the megrain fades I'll be completely useless. Sometimes it feels if I ran a comrades marathon.😑

I hope you feel better soon. Megrains are not just a condition for me its also a curse.

@DracoTarot That is an interesting trick to solve the tiles cleaning problem. Unfortunately, I am renting, so I can't really try something as invasive as this. I scrub between my tiles with a used toothbrush instead. Luckily, my bathroom is not too big, and the tiles it has are, actually, quite big, so it does not take me a lot of time or effort. But I have smaller tiles in my parent's house, so I still feel your pain, @Saka.

Personally, I find that migraines may depend on the things that you use daily. I used to get them a lot, but then I switched my mattress from the spring one to the memory foam one, and they stopped. It is amazing how much difference can a good mattress or a comfortable chair with lumbar support make.

It is interesting how both you and @Saka mention this about the Hotpot bot. We used Midjourney before, and they introduced free daily tries again, so we could go back to that, and try the one @Saka mentioned as well, as we're searching for the best bot. But maybe this warrants a separate discussion, something like "AI Wars: Battle of the Bots" as we're searching for the best one. 😉

@DoctorEldritch Renting does have its limitations. My parents own the house so no more worries about what can and cannot be done. It makes things so much easier.

A toothbrush works well if it's a small area to cover. Still, a lot of elbow grease is needed. When our bathroom needs a bit of scrubbing I use a proper filament brush. The specific brush has a soap dispenser attached to it. While you scrub the soap dispenses onto the filaments.

I usually fill the small container with a mixture of water, soap and lemon juice. The lemon juice softens all the ickiness. You can even use some baking soda with lemon juice. Works wonders!

I'm very light-sensitive and one of the issues I struggle with. Sunlight and heat trigger my migraines. I can't be in sunlight for prolonged periods of time if I do not wear a decent pair of sunglasses.

I became a bit of a vampire of late! My issue is my migraines impair my vision. I would literally go blind in one eye and then it would move to the other eye. Sometimes it is just one eye. The doctors said I do have an advanced neurological disorder and it's untreatable.

The worst part is I may not drive anymore. It's dangerous especially when stuck on the highway in horrible traffic. When a blinding migraine strikes and I can't see where I'm going can become problematic. If I'm able to stop somewhere I'll have to wait for my vision to return which also becomes problematic and dangerous. Here in SA you must be constantly moving and not stay in one spot alongside a roadway otherwise you can become a victim very quickly.

I would be an easy target if I can't see much. Still, afterwards, I will feel ill and it's not a pleasant experience driving. Public transport and my feet take me where I want to go these days. If a migraine hits when I'm walking I quickly try to find a safe place to sit down for a bit.

Memory foam mattresses are way better. I had constant back pains from a spring mattress. Swopped my slinky mattress for a foam one and never looked back.😂

Midjourney seems smarter in a way. The designs and drawings are more detailed. It could also be that Hotspot needs more descriptive inputs for a better result.

Battle of the bots sounds fun. I'm in! 😊

I used a brush specifically meant for cleaning these tile gaps, it's very narrow with really stiff bristles. But even then it is a heap of manual labour. I use a solution of baking soda and vinegar and I found it to be the only easily obtainable thing that actually melts the limescale. The amount of sizzling it does when mixing is ungodly though.

As for migraines, for me the triggers can be as simple as a mild inflammation somewhere in my body. Right now, I still haven't narrowed down what's the cause. It's not my mattress or chair, as I have very posh ones, thanks to my chronic back issues (although the back is actually behaving lately due to me training kendo quite vigorously).

@DracoTarot Ah, to my shame, I have to admit that I am not too overly in pursuit of cleanliness. That is, I do not mean that I let it get as bad as to allow mushrooms to grow, but a bit of color between tiles does not really faze me. I clean it regularly, but I want to say I only scrub tiles once every season or so. And then, I use more basic methods, no high-tech brushes with automatic soap dispensing or lemon juice.

Not being able to drive does sound troublesome, but personally, I never tried it myself. Despite how convenient it may be, I never wanted to drive and never learned how, and am not planning to. Too much hassle and variables that are not easily controlled. I'll stick to public transport. So I want to say, do not let it discourage you too much. But blindness does sound horrible.
