Did you spot this in the Story Hub the other day? It's exciting days ahead for MotoGP fans - not only has Lenovo and Dorna Sports extended their partnership into a new multi-year agreement, but the MotoGP eSport Championship itself is back testing the abilities of gamers yet again. This year marks the series' 5th season, and the Pro Draft kicks off this month.
This is highly popular stuff. The industry’s total eSports viewership is expected to grow from 454 million to 646 million in 2023. With more live and virtual events than ever, the Championship has a growing global audience and has garnered more than 80 million video views and 10.5 million fan engagements since the partnership began.
With the renewed partnership, Dorna Sports and Lenovo extend their collaboration, ensuring Lenovo will remain the exclusive provider of gaming PCs, monitors and accessories for the Championship's 4 live events.
Before we get to more details on the new season itself, I want to know - do we have any MotoGP fans in the community? Looking forward to the live events? Let me know in the comments! 😎
