A few days ago, a new beta version of graphics drivers was released, including for mobile Radeon 700M GPUs. Previously, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (AFMF) was only available for the latest desktop cards, the Radeon RX 7000 series.

The eventual availability date of this functionality in certified WHQL drivers is not yet known.

AFMF is AMD's response to NVIDIA's Frame Generation. Similar to the competitor's technology, additional images are generated to fill in the gaps between animation frames to enhance their smoothness. This creates the illusion that the game is running more efficiently than it actually is. This visual trick is sufficient for most gamers to increase their gaming comfort – input delay remains unchanged, but in most cases, it is not of significant concern.
