I'm having this issue as of todays Legion Space 1.0.2.7 update. Legion and Quick settings buttons won't open their respective programs. I also can't use some of the shortcut combos - like the shortcut that shows you the other shortcuts.
I can manually run legion space, and using the controller test I can see that the buttons aren't physically malfunctioning.
However, I can't manually open quicksettings.exe at all. Uninstalling 1.0.2.7 and reinstalling 1.0.2.5 fixes things though but again Legion space automatically updates to 1.0.2.5 on opening so cyclic issue. Dam QC is really poor on this and genuinely frustrating. Any fix?
I have an identical problem, it has a few other quirks that are annoying, but nothing as game breaking as these issues. For example, unless I have a bluetooth keyboard handy, if I want to type in some text, I can't because for whathever reason I can't get the onscreen keyboard to automatically come up when I select a text box, which I could work around by using a lenovo shortuctg combination to force the keygboard into existance. This is one of the major shortcuts that is now broken.
As per intsgs above, if I install an earlier version of Legion space, it all start working again, but then it wants to auto update every time I open legion space.
@intsgs3909 I've read that the 1.0.2.7 Update brought some good new features but also disrupted other and that Lenovo's working on it.
Regarding this specific issue, can you try this and report if it works?
Open the MS Services ( search in the bar "services.msc" ).
Search "Dservice" and open the properties.
Set the Startup Type as Auto and in the Recovery tab set all conditions to restart.
Try to restart the system and see if anything works. This is also a service that may be disabled by Handheld Companion, if you're using that.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve gone into services and looked for Dservice, but the only think close to it I could find was DAService, which says it’s related to legion space. All of the setting for DAService were as prescribed above so I changed them, restarted, changed them back to Automatic and restart., Restarted the system again.
I thought maybe Legion space hadn’t installed some of its components, so I uninstalled LS , restarted, reinstalled the latest version of LS I could find which was 2.5, restarted. Legion space started on boot, I could use the shortcut keys while it loaded, but then it updated and that was no more again.
Also with the updated to 2.7, LS won’t start automatically with with Windows boot, I start it manually. The menu button on the bottom left of legion space (on screen). doesn’t work. I have also tried starting Legion space with admin rights.
@SKYTRiXSHA Thanks for the advice, hopefully there's an update coming soon. Makes me wonder if I got a dodgy unit, I don't see a lot of other people with the same problem.
@intsgs3909 having same issue on v 1.0.2.9 just tried to use shortcut for virtual keyboard Legion button + B and keyboard doesn't show up... Haven't noticed anything else.. but bummer .. I do use a lot..

Legion Community enables its registered users (the “Users") to post and share content, such as information about Lenovo products, services, events, social media activity and videos ("Content”) to the Platform.
Legion Community is provided by Lenovo through the services of Standing on Giants subject to these Terms (“Terms”). We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time and without notice. If we amend the Terms, we will post the amended Terms on this page and indicate at the top of the page the date the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
By accessing or using Legion Community you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, then you should not access or use the Platform.
Lenovo’s decision in relation to any aspect of Legion Community and these Terms is final and binding.
Your Use of Legion Community Platform
ELIGIBILITY. This Program is open to Participants who are age 18 years or older at the time of entry. A Legion Community moderator will moderate all posts after publication. Lenovo reserves the right to remove user’s content that it considers to be irrelevant to the purpose of the platform, or that it considers violates any of these Terms. Lenovo may also post or link to the Platform any of your Content that you make available to Lenovo for the Platform. You are solely responsible for your Content that is posted or linked to the Platform and Lenovo accepts no liability for your Content.
You grant Lenovo and other users of the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, publish, re-post, re-tweet, and distribute your Content on or in connection with the Platform.

Representations and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:
(a) You will abide by and comply with these Terms;

(c) You have the full power and authority to enter into these Terms and to the extent that any entity is bound hereby, to bind such entity, these Terms, and performance of obligations under these Terms do not and will not violate any other agreement to which you or such entity is a party; and

Compliance
When using Legion Community, you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and all terms of use and similar rules concerning your use of any Social Media Outlet or other third party publishing platform.
Upon our request made to you from time to time, you will cooperate with us and allow us access to your systems, communications, and records solely in connection with determining your compliance with these Terms.
Visiting Third Party Websites
The Platform may contain links to third party websites, advertisers, products, services, offers, or other events or activities that are not owned or controlled by Lenovo. Lenovo does not assume any responsibility for any such third party sites, information, materials, products, services or offers. If you access any third party website, product, service, or content from the Platform, you do so at your own risk and you agree that Lenovo will have no liability arising from your use of or access to any third party website, product, service, or content.
Trademarks and Ownership of Intellectual Property
Lenovo™, the Lenovo logo, and certain other product names and phrases are trademarks or service marks of Lenovo in the U.S. and/or other countries. Termination
You may terminate use of the Platform at any time for any reason (in other words, un-register). Lenovo may terminate or suspend your right to use the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice to you. Lenovo may terminate the Platform at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and other rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. Following termination, Lenovo may retain your Content for a commercially reasonable period of time for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, Lenovo and its other users may retain and continue to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, and distribute any of your Content that other users have stored or shared through the Platform.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lenovo and its employees, officers, affiliates and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with any of the following: (i) Your Content or your misuse of the Platform; (ii) your breach or alleged breach of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation, any intellectual property right, publicity, confidentiality, property or privacy right; (iv) your violation of any laws, rules, regulations, codes, statutes, ordinances or orders of any governmental authorities, including, without limitation, all regulatory, administrative and legislative authorities; or (v) any misrepresentation made by you. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England.
Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with Lenovo’s Data Privacy Policy and any amendments and any additional agreements you may enter into with Lenovo in connection with the Platform, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Lenovo concerning the Platform. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
Limitations of Liability
Neither Lenovo nor its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, third party content providers, sponsors, or licensors warrant that the Site will be continuous, uninterrupted or error-free. THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS CONTENT, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, LENOVO HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTIES BASED ON A COURSE OF DEALING.
