Ayer fue la clausura de los juegos olímpicos de verano de 2024, y el último par de semanas nos ha dejado algunos momentos trepidantes, fotos impresionantes y algún que otro meme 😎
Aquí dejo el top de los 5 países en ganar más medallas:
1. Estados Unidos: Con un total de 126 medallas (40 de oro, 41 de plata y 45 de bronce), Estados Unidos dominó el medallero.
2. China: China quedó segunda con 91 medallas (40 de oro, 27 de plata y 24 de bronce).
3. Japón: Japón obtuvo la impresionante cifra de 74 medallas (27 de oro, 20 de plata y 27 de bronce).
4. Gran Bretaña: Gran Bretaña consiguió 51 medallas (14 de oro, 17 de plata y 20 de bronce).
5. Comité Olímpico Ruso: El ROC ganó 44 medallas (14 de oro, 18 de plata y 12 de bronce).
En cuanto a España, se quedó en el puesto 15º de la clasificación con 18 medallas (5 de oro, 4 de plata y 9 de bronce), con una plata para el boxeador de peso super pesado Ayoub Ghadfa...y la aparente retirada del boxeo para las próximas Olimpiadas en Los Angeles en 2028 😑(ya se verá qué ocurre).
Y hablando de incluir (o sustraer) deportes a las Olimpíadas, el año pasado hablamos sobre incluir los videojuegos en las mismas y para seguir ese debate, quisiera preguntaros:
¿Qué videojuego actual debería ser el primero en incluirse en las Olimpíadas?
Amos a los videojuegos, pero no creo que deberían ser un deporte olímpico. Ya hay eventos dedicados a los Esports. Antes incluiría el karate que lo quitaron hace un tiempo.
¡Interesante! ¿Y por qué crees que no deberían formar parte de las Olimpíadas? (hay también muchos eventos paralelos dedicados a otros deportes).
Con respecto al karate, y más recientemente al boxeo, me parece que no incluirlos en las olimpiadas tiene que ver con que no hay una organización mundial que gestione a los miembros, etc. ¿Tu qué opinas? : )
Olimpiadas?, videojuegos?... viendo como ha sido el panorama este año, mejor no XD.
La mayoría de deportistas electrónicos no tienen los medios disponibles, educación y algo muy importante, la inmensa mayoría no habrán dedicado TODA su vida a un juego en concreto o disciplina de este, con lo cual no lo veo viable.
Sumale además que seria lucha por paises donde posiblemente la mayoría no tienen los medios de internet ni gente necesaria para ello.
Son demasiadas restricciones al final, basta ver en las competiciones actuales los problemas existentes.
¿Van a entrenarse para las siguientes para un juego que posiblemente ya no existe ni este de moda?
El mundo tecnológico cambia demasiado rápido.
Al final solo habria algunos estadounidenses y mucho asiatico XD.
No hablemos ya del tema de ser algo partidista favoreciendo pues a un desarrollador o empresa en particular.
Veamos algunos requisitos olímpicos que he visto por ahi.
Para que cualquier deporte pueda ser incluido en unos Juegos Olímpicos ha de cumplir en primer lugar varios requisitos que se recogen en la Carta Olímpica.
Debe de ser un deporte ampliamente practicado en un mínimo de 75 países y 4 continentes por hombres, y en un mínimo de 40 países y 3 continentes por mujeres.
Deberá de ser un deporte ampliamente practicado en un mínimo de 25 países y 3 continentes para poder formar parte de unos Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno.
Cualquier deporte que quiera formar parte de unos Juegos Olímpicos de verano deberán de haber adoptado y apliquen de la forma correcta el código mundial antidopaje. La práctica totalidad de deportes que puedas conocer han adoptado ya, y aplican sin restricciones este código.
Para que cualquier deporte sea admitido en el programa de unos Juegos Olímpicos deberá de ser aceptado al menos 7 años antes de que comiencen esos Juegos Olímpicos.
Con esto en mente, veo mas probable que cantar reaggeton con autotune en directo sea mas viable que añadir un videojuego XD.
Como dije, si para ser aceptado debe ser algo ampliamente aceptado en la mayoria del mundo, con acceso a este, y elegirse 7 años antes... en ese tiempo ya hablamos de cambios generacionales de consolas y por tanto de muchos juegos.
Para mi todos esos deportes que tienen un fuerte interes comercial con competiciones mundiales propias no deberian estar en los juegos olimpicos ya que ello puede provocar que muchos paises se vean totalmente desplazados debido a las diferencias economicas... he ahi la verguenza de España, donde en el futbol y carreras de F1, tenis y parecidos tal vez si se apueste bastante pero en el resto vivan de los restos y haya tan poco apoyo que como en el tema de estudios o trabajo deban irse del pais. En EEUU y paises asiaticos los incentivos y facilidades para ser deportista son mucho mas variados a lo largo de la vida, desde los inicios como estudiante hasta luego en la vida profesional con inversiones privadas y publicidad por diversos lugares hasta el punto de nacionalizar en si el hecho de ser deportista de renombre.
En España se fomenta mas el futbol, política, musica y prensa rosa como medio de vida importante XD.
Basicamente no hay un principio de igualdad. Y con los deportes electrónicos veríamos en las olimpiadas un show peor que el que es actualmente Eurovisión, creo que lo que se busca en las olimpiadas no es un show mediático de esa índole.
A lo que vamos, la mayoría de deportes cambian poco con el tiempo, en el ocio electrónico tras unos años las cosas empiezan parecer desfasadas y afrontar cambios en un juego puede ser imposible y cambiar de juego lo seria aun mas. Seria prácticamente inviable tener 2 olimpiadas con el mismo siquiera :S, para la tercera ya parecería algo del paleolítico XD.
El conocimiento es poder, úsalo bien, pues su mal uso conlleva a la destrucción.

Muy interesante los requisitos que has compartido, y muy interesante el punto sobre igualdad entre países (aunque en deportes tradicionales también se ve esa desigualdad precisamente por la falta de recursos...no en vano han sido USA y China los países con más medallas).
Con respecto a lo de un juego que dure lo suficiente para ser incluído en los JJOO, tomemos por ejemplo el LoL: Lleva en activo (y no sólo eso, sino creciendo) desde 2009: 15 años, tiempo suficiente, en teoría para haber sido incluído en al menos 2 Olimpíadas.
Por otra parte, le podemos echar un ojo al número de jugadores por países que han ganado algún torneo desde que empezaron a hacerlos. Esto no es el número total de jugadores, sino aquellos que han ganado premios monetarios (lo más parecido a ser un atleta profesional en el mundo de los videojuegos).
En cuanto a países o regiones con mayor número de jugadores, aquí dejo esta lista (fuente activeplayers.io)

2. Estados Unidos: ~25 millones de jugadores activos
3. Corea del Sur: ~10 millones de jugadores activos
4. Brasil: ~9 millones de jugadores activos

6. Alemania: ~5 millones de jugadores activos
7. Francia: ~4 millones de jugadores activos
8. Rusia: ~3,5 millones de jugadores activos
9. Indonesia: ~3 millones de jugadores activos
10. Filipinas: ~2,5 millones de jugadores activos
Es verdad que China se lleva la palma en cuanto a jugadores activos, pero es Corea el país con mayor número de jugadores profesionales. Si nos creemos la estadística que he compartido antes, con el doble de ellos. Así que proporcionalmente, tendría muchos más "atletas del Lol" en potencia que China.
Además, están Turquía y Brasil que se salen del circuito de Asia o US tanto en número de jugadores como en proporción de jugadores "profesionales" (o que han ganado algún torneo). De hecho, comparativamente serían países con un renta per cápita baja que han rendido comparativamente más en LoL que en las Olimpíadas de este año (aunque soy consciente de que no es una comparativa justa).
Lo que si que flaquea en el LoL, por ejemplo, es el principio de igualdad de género:
Y en cuanto las medidas anti-dopaje, pues no sé qué toman los LoLers...¿Red Bull? ¿Es esto dopaje o no? ¿Estarán asociados con la F1? 😆
Por supuesto estoy haciendo de abogada del diablo y no sugiriendo de forma seria que se añada LoL a las Olimpíadas, pero que en teoría podría hacerse....Es verdad que existe poca o ninguna representación de este videojuego en países africanos, pero si miras el medallero de las Olimpíadas de este año, tampoco es que tengan mucha representación allá.
Y si, estamos muy de acuerdo en que todos los deportes deberían tener un apoyo institucional mayor, pero no es así, y aún así se incluyen en los JJOO.
PD, me ha hecho mucha gracia lo del canto de reaggeton con autotunning, podemos apostar qué entra primero en los JJOO para la década de los 30, si la lucha de gallos (literal) o el combate a muerte entre avatares digitales 😂

Legion Community enables its registered users (the “Users") to post and share content, such as information about Lenovo products, services, events, social media activity and videos ("Content”) to the Platform.
Legion Community is provided by Lenovo through the services of Standing on Giants subject to these Terms (“Terms”). We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time and without notice. If we amend the Terms, we will post the amended Terms on this page gaming.lenovo.com/emea/register/ and indicate at the top of the page the date the Terms were last revised. Your Use of Legion Community Platform

Your Content Posted or Linked to Legion Community
Lenovo allows you to submit posts or link content to Legion Community, including photos, images, videos, sounds, comments, links, tweets, likes, and other materials. A Legion Community moderator may moderate posts after publication. Lenovo reserves the right to remove user’s content that it considers to be irrelevant to the purpose of the platform, or that it considers violates any of these Terms. Lenovo may also post or link to the Platform any of your Content that you make available to Lenovo for the Platform. You are solely responsible for your Content that is posted or linked to the Platform and Lenovo accepts no liability for your Content.
You grant Lenovo and other users of the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, publish, re-post, re-tweet, and distribute your Content on or in connection with the Platform.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary in your Content for it to be on or available from the Platform, and that the posting and use of your Content on or through the Platform does not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any third party, including, without limitation, privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark and/or other intellectual property rights. Representations and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:

Compliance
When using Legion Community, you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and all terms of use and similar rules concerning your use of any Social Media Outlet or other third party publishing platform.
Upon our request made to you from time to time, you will cooperate with us and allow us access to your systems, communications, and records solely in connection with determining your compliance with these Terms.
Visiting Third Party Websites
The Platform may contain links to third party websites, advertisers, products, services, offers, or other events or activities that are not owned or controlled by Lenovo. Lenovo does not assume any responsibility for any such third party sites, information, materials, products, services or offers. If you access any third party website, product, service, or content from the Platform, you do so at your own risk and you agree that Lenovo will have no liability arising from your use of or access to any third party website, product, service, or content.
Trademarks and Ownership of Intellectual Property
Lenovo™, the Lenovo logo, and certain other product names and phrases are trademarks or service marks of Lenovo in the U.S. and/or other countries. Termination
You may terminate use of the Platform at any time for any reason (in other words, un-register). Lenovo may terminate or suspend your right to use the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice to you. Lenovo may terminate the Platform at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and other rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. Following termination, Lenovo may retain your Content as permitted by applicable law for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, Lenovo and its other users may retain and continue to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, and distribute any of your Content that other users have stored or shared through the Platform.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lenovo and its employees, officers, affiliates and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with any of the following: (i) Your Content or your misuse of the Platform; (ii) your breach or alleged breach of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation, any intellectual property right, publicity, confidentiality, property or privacy right; (iv) your violation of any laws, rules, regulations, codes, statutes, ordinances or orders of any governmental authorities, including, without limitation, all regulatory, administrative and legislative authorities; or (v) any misrepresentation made by you. You will cooperate as reasonably requested by Lenovo with respect to any such claim. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with Lenovo’s Data Privacy Policy and any amendments and any additional agreements you may enter into with Lenovo in connection with the Platform, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Lenovo concerning the Platform. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
Limitations of Liability
Neither Lenovo nor its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, third party content providers, sponsors, or licensors warrant that the Site will be continuous, uninterrupted or error-free. THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS CONTENT, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
