    Hello everyone,
I’m currently using a Lenovo Legion 5, and I've recently encountered an issue with my Wi-Fi connection. Specifically, the Wi-Fi connection on my laptop has become very weak and unstable, often dropping or running at very slow speeds. What’s puzzling is that other devices in my house (like phones, tablets, and other laptops) are not experiencing any issues and remain connected to Wi-Fi smoothly.
I’ve tried several solutions to resolve the problem, including:

    1. Restarting the router: I initially thought the issue might be with the router, so I restarted it. Unfortunately, this didn’t fix the problem.
    2. Restarting the laptop: I’ve also tried restarting my laptop multiple times, but the situation remains the same.
    3. Updating the Wi-Fi driver: I checked and updated the Wi-Fi driver on my laptop to the latest version, but there hasn’t been any improvement.
    4. Checking network settings: I’ve gone through the network settings to see if anything was off, but everything seems to be in order.
    5. Using a wired connection (Ethernet): I tried connecting my laptop to the network using an Ethernet cable and noticed that the internet speed was very stable with the wired connection. The issue seems to be limited to Wi-Fi.

I’m not sure what the root cause could be. Could it be a hardware issue (perhaps with the Wi-Fi card) or a software conflict?
I would greatly appreciate any help or advice from the community. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has expertise in this area, please share any solutions or steps I could take to resolve this.
    Thank you very much!

Since it's not a drivers issue and the ethernet works well, then as you say it maybe caused by wlan chip, if you have some friend have laptop try your chip on his if you can, if it gives the same bad performance then you will be sure it's a chip issue, if it doesn't then maybe the connection on your motherboard is malfunctioning and you need to visit Technical specialist.
sorry if it's not helpful enough and good luck 🙏🙏

@longkari You might wanna try some of solutions listed in this thread. Especially the solution which requires you to switch off Location services. Since you've already tried updating the wifi driver, please try resetting it as well. Hope the issue resolves for you soon 😄
