Since its reveal in 2021 Slitterhead has captured a lot of interest thanks to the creative mind behind it Keiichiro Toyama If you're not familiar with him he's the genius behind Silent Hill, Siren, and Gravity Rush.

The game is set to release in November and today Bokeh Game Studio shared some new gameplay footage during the PAX West 2024 event In these showcases we saw the game's core mechanics which revolve around entering and controlling other people's bodies.

The story takes place in Hong Kong or a similar setting featuring savage parasitic monsters that cling to people transforming their heads and entire bodies into horrifying creatures. These monsters will give you nightmares as you encounter terrifying beings throughout the game that hide as ordinary people in a modern setting. The game features frightening and innovative enemy designs that you might not have seen in any other horror game.

Slitterhead is being developed for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, and it will be released on November 8, 2024.

What do you think about it?

This game reminds me of the Parasite anime
I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye

This feels like every horror game from 2000 to 2010 put together in one game. It still seems original enough in style, hopefully the gameplay won't stale with so many mechanism.

@Abdelsalam It's the same concept of a parasite taking over a human host, but in a much more terrifying and disgusting way.

@mazen18 The game is well made, but what truly stands out is the smooth and effortless character switching mechanic.
