    Hello Legion Gamers!

Earlier this week we talked about spooky programs or channels. And there are obviously spooky games in abundance. Which brings us to the question: is it scarier and/or more enjoyable to watch something spooky or play something spooky?

Personally, I do not enjoy being frightened at all, so I do not really watch scary films or play scary games, and the SCP Foundation I mentioned earlier is more spooky and cryptic than scary.

But then it comes to scarier things, it is about the immersion for me: when you are watching something, you are detached from the story as an observer looking in and you are safe, while when you are playing the game, you are "part" of the process and it may be more personal. For me, it is not a good thing, horror games are scarier for me than films.

But that's me. What about those of us who enjoy the horror genre, do you like films or games better? @DracoTarot I remember you not minding horror films as much as I do, any insight to share?

@DoctorEldritch Oh dear! Another thread you've mentioned me in but no notification.

Well, it's my favourite season of the year and like usual I will be watching some of my favourite movies and series. A few new horror movies are being released this week and next week.

One I'm waiting for is the new Nosferatu but I see the movie will only be released in December.

I do not really have a specific horror game I want to play. Maybe when I'm bored I will find an interesting-looking horror title online.

The most of October and Halloween it will be all about the movies.

@DracoTarot No worries, and I will look into it for you.

I am hoping that Nosferatu could be Bill Skarsgård's redemption after The Crow...

Maybe EGS will offer some spooky titles for free closer to Halloween. It would make sense for them to do it. If they are good enough, you can play some horrors for free then.

But nothing wrong with just enjoying horror films and ignore the games completely, too. Have you played any horror games lately?
