@DracoTarot That is a low number, but high enough to be a challenge to fill for some... But the fact that you need permission for a party is a surprise. I mean, it is only neighbourly and polite to ask permission from neighbours, I'd do that even if it was not a requirement, but why does the metro need to know?

Sound curfew makes sense, though, in my neighbourhood it is illegal to do something loud after 23:00, it is even in the contract. To make sure everyone can get a good night's sleep, more so as we have a "retiree community" next to us, and they probably need a bit more looking after than your average neighbours.

No need to rush with Douglas is Cancelled, it is entertaining enough (I especially liked the jazz pieces they have during ending titles), but not so important as to prioritise it over something else you may want to watch.

@DoctorEldritch Everything is an issue here and people complain a lot. There are "KARENS" everywhere, especially in my neighbourhood.

I do understand if a party may get too loud then you have the fullest right to complain but in certain cases, they do not want other people to have a little fun because no one is interested in them and they lead an awful and boring life. It seems they get jealous when seeing other people being happy.

@DracoTarot C'est la vie. But hey, at least you get an occasional owl guest, so it can't be all that bad.

Sorry to hear that. One would hope issues would bring people together, not divide them so...

@DoctorEldritch, I wish Owly would return. I haven't seen one in a while. I think it's due to all the stormy weather we've been having lately.

It's part of our daily lives and we got used to it. People seem not to be so friendly anymore and I guess we have to learn to cope with it.

@DracoTarot When did Owly visit the last time? It could be part of the migration pattern, if so, it would make sense for her to return around the same time as the last time. But you're right, the weather could also be a factor, and this year has been quite drastic with the weather already, with all the floods and hurricanes and all...

@DoctorEldritch Her last visit was in February of this year, and she disappeared after that. Hopefully, she will return in the new year.

Where I live the weather is getting hectic. The storms are more intense and come with full force.

Climate change is a real issue or is it? I am convinced some of the storms we experience are man-made. The funny thing here is we do not have much air traffic and plains do not fly often over my area. Some days I notice plains flying at a high altitude and it almost seems they are leaving chem trails in the sky. About 3 hours or so seeing them a huge cloud formation forms and then a chaotic storm.

Could be my imagination but anything is possible.
