Entre los invitados estaban personalidades de la industria tan relevantes como Satya Nadella, consejero delegado de Microsoft, Lisa Su, presidenta y consejera delegada de AMD, y Mark Zuckerberg, fundador y consejero delegado de Meta..
Esta es la era de la IA y como tal, un momento increíble para dedicarse a la tecnología.
Así hablaba Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, que comparaba esta revolución tecnológica con la era inicial de Internet, con las mismas repercusiones a nivel mundial.
Cambiará fundamentalmente las relaciones entre las personas y la tecnología, pues toda persona con un PC tiene la IA al alcance de la mano
Y es que los avances en este ámbito están siendo trepidantes y en ocasiones, como que sacados de una peli de ciencia ficción, como por ejemplo Lenovo AI Now, un agente local de IA que transforma los PC en asistentes personalizados....¿habéis visto algo con IA que os haya sorprendido recientemente? 🤔
Las últimas tendencias en hardware apuntan integrar IAs directamente en PCs, como en la línea "Aura", creada en conjunción con Intel y que cuenta con los siguientes modelos: Yoga Slim 7i Gen 9 Aura Edition (15" Intel) y ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition (14" Intel).
Por otra parte, también se presentaron importantes innovaciones en el ámbito de la salud.
TRAdA: Dispositivo IoT para salvar vidas
Lenovo se ha asociado con el Instituto do Coração en Brasil para lanzar TRAdA (del portugués Telemonitoramento Remoto Assistido de Arritmia), un innovador dispositivo IoT (Internet of Things) portátil para la monitorización cardíaca en tiempo real.
Mediante algoritmos de IA, TRAdA identifica posibles eventos de arritmia, proporcionando un apoyo esencial en el crítico periodo de 72 horas posterior al alta. Tal como dijo Ricardo Bloj, Presidente de Lenovo Brasil, Lenovo pretende mejorar la asistencia sanitaria y reducir costes con esta solución.
Comunicación basada en inteligencia artificial para enfermos de ELA
Lenovo y la Fundación Scott-Morgan (SMF) han presentado una solución basada en IA para personas con ELA y discapacidades graves. La tecnología escalable aprovecha la IA generativa para afrontar retos de accesibilidad y promover una IA que ayude a la inclusión social.
La solución combina el teclado circular de SMF, la IA predictiva de Lenovo, voces de IA personalizadas de ElevenLabs, avatares de D-ID y tecnología de seguimiento ocular de IrisBond, lo que permite una comunicación rápida y precisa.
En colaboración con SMF, Lenovo pretende reimaginar la tecnología de asistencia, centrándose en la ELA, para beneficiar a numerosas discapacidades. Aquí dejo video de un padre con ELA que utiliza la tecnología para interactuar con sus hijos 😮

La verdad es que tendemos a mirar la tecnología de forma distópica catastrofista, pero hay cositas por ahí que son maravillosas y resuelven problemas de verdad. Lo que pasa es que las noticias castróficas hacen mucho más ruido 😅

@CandelaSynth - Totalmente de acuerdo! Miro el móvil y solo veo muertes y cosas horribles. No sé como no se escurre la sangre desde los agujeros del teléfono, porque todo son malas noticias. Por fin algo bueno, algo que va a mejorar la vida de la gente. Yo quiero un futuro aún mejor que el Palword o Pokémon. Algo así como Flowers. No Dead by Daylight, Diablo o Deceit. Estos son buenos como juegos y no vida real.

Y sobre todo ahora, que con el algoritmo, si pinchas en una mala, te empiezan a salir más y más malas noticias (otro buen recurso es borrar el historial de búsqueda de vez en cuando y "empezar de nuevo").

La mejor decisión que he podido tomar es dejar de poner el telediario y cualquier programa que huela a política. Me entero de las cosas de alta importancia porque te las meten con calzador por todos lados, peeeeero el continuo bombardeo de sensacionalismo y negatividad ha quedado cortado de raiz. La mayoría de mi infoentretenimiento son series, películas, youtube, Twitch o música en la radio; ni siquiera tengo sintonizados los canales de la tele tradicional 😅
Volviendo al tema de la IA... No sé exactamente si es IA per sé, pero hace un par de meses me hice con un Garmin Fenix 7X para sustituir mi Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Al margen de que se lo recomiendo encarecidamente a toda aquella persona que quiera hacer seguimiento de su salud + deporte sin preocuparse por su autonomía:
Sí, ahí arriba pone 22 días de autonomía, es que lo cargué ayer... al 100% con mi configuración pondría 23!!!. Que con uso de 5 - 6 horas de ruta con GPS a la semana, se queda en unos 14 - 15 días.
Pues el Garmin va recogiendo datos como tus pulsaciones en reposo, tus pulsaciones máximas en actividad, el VFC en reposo, la pulsioximetría nocturna, calidad del sueño... hasta mide tu respiración!!! Con todos esos datos hace cosas como recomendarte entrenamientos en función de los objetivos que te marques; te hace previsiones sobre los tiempos que harías en 5k, 10k, 22k, 42k; te recomienda número de horas de recuperación idóneas entre entrenos... incluso te hace una estimación de tu 'edad física' frente a tu edad biológica en función de toda esa amalgama de datos:

Me olvidaba, también tiene una función que activa alarmas (y creo que avisa a emergencias) si tus pulsaciones bajan de 42 (en el samsung sé que es ese el disparador exacto), previendo un paro cardíaco. Yo no puedo activar esta función, ya la tuve activada en el Galaxy Watch... y un par de veces de madrugada me despertó la alarma y en medio del susto tuve que cancelar la llamada al 112... Nada de amago de infarto, simplemente es que en reposo absoluto mis pulsaciones andan entre las 40 - 50.
En fin, que es una especie de IA estadística aplicada a la salud y el rendimiento deportivo, un sector que afortunadamente está en auge... aunque en mi entorno ese auge se esté manifestando con fabricas de lesionados también llamadas 'Gimnasios de Crossfit'

Estos aparatos IoT es uno de los ejemplos de aplicación práctica de IA que me parecen más interesantes. Hace relativamente poco vi este "espejo mágico":

Conozco a gente que trabaja en centros de rehabilitación, coinciden en que bastante más de la mitad de sus pacientes menores de 55 años vienen del crossfit 😅😅😅

Me conformo con poder controlar mi nivel de forma y saber que no me estoy sobreexigiendo. A parte de la seguridad que te da seguir rutas con sus mapas topográficos la muñeca sin estar preocupado por quedarme sin batería, poder buscar caminos alternativos sobre la marcha, etc 😬. Y sí, lo de bajar el dígito de la edad es un muy buen incentivo, supongo que es un tema de estadística en función de tus rendimientos deportivos y demás.
Esa app estaría cojonuda implementada en el espejo del baño y que respondiera con cierta ironía: 'te sobraron 3 cervezas anoche', 'café doble hoy a ver si se te quita esa cara de sobao', 'ánimo que ya es viernes... aunque tu cuerpo no lo quiere ni saber' 🤣😂🤣
Mi SmartHome está en parada técnica, tengo ya cosillas implementadas y funcionando perfectamente, pero aún quedan unos cuantos flecos para pulir la Fase 1 😅, sigo en beta

Legion Community is provided by Lenovo through the services of Standing on Giants subject to these Terms (“Terms”). We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time and without notice. Your Use of Legion Community Platform

A Legion Community moderator may moderate posts after publication. Lenovo reserves the right to remove user’s content that it considers to be irrelevant to the purpose of the platform, or that it considers violates any of these Terms. Lenovo may also post or link to the Platform any of your Content that you make available to Lenovo for the Platform. You are solely responsible for your Content that is posted or linked to the Platform and Lenovo accepts no liability for your Content.
You grant Lenovo and other users of the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, publish, re-post, re-tweet, and distribute your Content on or in connection with the Platform.

Representations and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:

When using Legion Community, you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and all terms of use and similar rules concerning your use of any Social Media Outlet or other third party publishing platform.
Upon our request made to you from time to time, you will cooperate with us and allow us access to your systems, communications, and records solely in connection with determining your compliance with these Terms.
Visiting Third Party Websites
The Platform may contain links to third party websites, advertisers, products, services, offers, or other events or activities that are not owned or controlled by Lenovo. Lenovo does not assume any responsibility for any such third party sites, information, materials, products, services or offers. Trademarks and Ownership of Intellectual Property

Termination
You may terminate use of the Platform at any time for any reason (in other words, un-register). Lenovo may terminate or suspend your right to use the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice to you. Lenovo may terminate the Platform at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and other rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. Following termination, Lenovo may retain your Content as permitted by applicable law for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, Lenovo and its other users may retain and continue to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, perform, and distribute any of your Content that other users have stored or shared through the Platform.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lenovo and its employees, officers, affiliates and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with any of the following: (i) Your Content or your misuse of the Platform; (ii) your breach or alleged breach of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation, any intellectual property right, publicity, confidentiality, property or privacy right; (iv) your violation of any laws, rules, regulations, codes, statutes, ordinances or orders of any governmental authorities, including, without limitation, all regulatory, administrative and legislative authorities; or (v) any misrepresentation made by you. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with Lenovo’s Data Privacy Policy and any amendments and any additional agreements you may enter into with Lenovo in connection with the Platform, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Lenovo concerning the Platform. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
Limitations of Liability
Neither Lenovo nor its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, third party content providers, sponsors, or licensors warrant that the Site will be continuous, uninterrupted or error-free. THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS CONTENT, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, LENOVO HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTIES BASED ON A COURSE OF DEALING.
