Hello and Happy Halloween Legion Gamers!

Epic Games Store offers games for free every week. This week, fitting the Halloween theme, the free games are...

    Witch It

Witch It is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game set in a vibrant, magical world. Brave hunters seek hidden witches that curse their villages!

To be honest, do not really understand how this is supposed to work, seems like some sort of object/physics hide-and-seek mechanic. I guess if anyone is interested, we could try it out for one of the Game Nights because it is puzzling for me to grasp the gameplay based on the trailer...

But this is not all! Another free game this time is...

    Ghostwire: Tokyo

Tokyo's population has vanished and deadly supernatural forces prowl the streets. Hone your otherwordly abilities to unravel the truth behind the disappearance and save the city. Explore brand-new single player content with the Spider's Thread update!

Now this one is a tad more interesting, we mentioned it here a few times before. Made by Tango Gameworks, a studio that then made Hi-Fi Rush, was closed down by Microsoft and acquired by Krafton after that. But before all that, they made Ghostwire: Tokyo, a first-person shooter seeped in Japanese urban lore. So if you like first-person shooter and/or Japan, and the creepier side of urban myths, this could be a game for you. And even for those who played it already (as yours truly), it can be a treat thanks to the recent Spider's Thread Update. @ZaidH have you played this one yet?

    See anything you like?

Nope, I haven't played Ghostwire, but I've definitely been intrigued by it since its initial reveal. I did read that the game has a lot of repetitive elements and mission structures. Is that true based on your experience?

@ZaidH To a degree, yes, but not at the level that Ubisoft does it, for example. And the game is relatively short, so I'd say it does not manage to get annoying. It does have that soul collection mechanic that can take a lot of time but it is for completionists and not obligatory. Other than that, I'd say it is as repetitive as shooters generally are, their gameplay being essentially "aim-shoot-repeat".

All in all, I'd suggest trying it out at least, especially since it's free to do so now.

Ok, now this is what I wanted to read. Will give this game a try at some point!

@ZaidH Be sure to grab it while it's free, then you can do it anytime 😉
