    Hello Legion Gamers!

Half a year ago I wrote a small post about cyberpunk games (other than Cyberpunk 2077, that is). One of those games was Nivalis. The game is one of the most anticipated indie releases of 2025, according to PC Gaming Show, and over 40 thousand people follow it on Steam.

If you are one of them (or you think that you could be), then good news: Ion Lands, creators of the game, shared new screenshots from the game. Check them out:

Not only that, they also responded to some community questions, particularly about not using procedural generation:

Everything is hand-crafted. If you're interested, you can read more here. The game is set in the Cloudpunk universe, the same as their first game of the same name, and invites you to live in a cyberpunk city. While it may not have Cyberpunk 2077's advanced graphics (though it is a matter of taste, Nivalis has a subtle beauty), it wins over Cyberpunk 2077 in the sense that Nivalis is a life sim and invites you not only to follow a story of getting Keanu Reeves out of your head but also to live, it is an immersive sim. My hope is that Nivalis is what we'd have if Cyberpunk 2077 and Stardew Valley had a baby 😉

So how about it, have I convinced anyone to wait for this game too? 😅

Looks kinda promising, perhaps a little clunky but not sure how it might actually play.

@miskkie I think there will be a central storyline but the gameplay seems to b e akin to that of farming sims, but styled for a cyberpunk setting, as in, meditative repeated tasks, slow advancement. But that's my guess. We'll see soon enough, it is coming out in Spring. And Cloudpunk is already out if you want to explore Nivalis as a flying taxi driver.

@miskkie There's been little news about this game for a while. Now there are some, but it is not promising: thy were planning to release this year, but it was pushed again to 2026. But devs shared some development insights, at least. So there is that while we wait...
