Mr Snow
Update 1: Congratulations to @Klaw who is the lucky winner of the two tickets for LAN50. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.
Update 2: Due to Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang's opening keynote being moved to 2.30 GMT/ 3.30CET we will be scratching the Live Stream watch along -- I think that's all a little late for us here in Europe. Please note that the Game Night is STILL on and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. :)

-- The human embodiment of golden retriever energy.
Before I post a long translation, I have some questions because I'm somewhat disconnected from international face-to-face events.
The terms and conditions say that the raffle ends on 7/1/25, but the event starts on 4/1/25, in addition to the 72 hours for confirmation, preparations and that ordinary people don't have a private jet of course :S, much less a time machine. How would the issue be then?
The reality is that even if I won, I probably wouldn't be able to afford to go to such an event, no matter how much I'd like it, even less so with the prices on such special dates :|
At least online, having Nvidia products, I might be eligible for rewards like Fallout 76, Diablo IV, TESO, etc. ^^.
The truth is that I haven't done activities focused on Nvidia since the days of Nvidia Shield, cloud gaming with Ge Force Now and when I was in their WoW guild, good times those ^^.
I don't remember where exactly, I think it was a prototype of Meta's Orion glasses (Facebook), with a wristband for gesture control that even detected "click" when you put different fingers together, I don't remember, but I found it super interesting since it was controlled by gestures but not so complex.
Regarding the glasses, there are still costs of screen, weight and battery. But the wristband for replacement control to touch a screen or mouse seems super interesting to me, maybe activating it with a touch button so that it doesn't consume all the time... I imagine being able to remotely control a device simply by pointing at it with your finger and pressing the button on the wristband to pair it or tell it which one to use... and thus control TV, computer or mobile at a certain distance (for example now with the cold we don't want to take our hands out of bed XD). It would also be great to manage presentations without having a specific device for it.
In a well-managed future, screens on glasses may be made modular to attach to glasses like some clips that exist today, thus allowing you to not do without glasses to see if you need them and leaving people calm about whether you are using them or not.
For me, the hardware already exists, but it must be refined and adapted to the human being, which in terms of interfaces I feel we are going backwards, with less standardization, less quality control, etc... when I used the previous Google apps, all html5 mobile first and other topics, the interface designs seemed wonderful and integrated everywhere, but I increasingly see how the big companies are differentiating themselves instead of joining together in something comfortable for the user.
Managing different video game apps, different types of mobile phones, smart TVs, chats or social networks... each one has its differentiating factors, but because of patents or trying to differentiate too much it causes harm to users... so new super innovative technologies can come out but if they are restricted to a certain public or apps they do not become widespread enough :(.
Example, oled and improved screens that leave pure blacks and impressive HDR and gaming experiences but that due to patents have exorbitant prices. (although 1440p and 144hz are here to stay even in laptops and mobile phones).
The HDMI now sometimes fights with the displayport, but if the latest technology of both is used they are already in the sweet spot of 4K of many Hz, HDR and VRR for everyone.
And the USB C can already be implemented for all types of screens and device charging but they are not yet obliged to do so... possibly unnecessary proprietary connections are still used, or they do not come with the USB charger Type C on devices and the cable for it.
Mobile phones in Europe will no longer be provided with chargers, and hopefully in the future without cables (if they remove the price of the device), a decent cable can cost you €2, €6 at the earliest. 12€ if you need 100" with USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 that also allows 4K output and whatever via USB.
The future I would like for the next 5 years? That everything that is not type C would disappear, we can finally have mobile phones with the same connection that PCs and consoles can have, there are already monitors with USB type C connections. I hope that all laptops have the same one.
It may be a bit more expensive than a normal cable (of which I have dozens), but the savings in space, creation and consumption could be enormous, giving rise to new improved innovations and that any device, even if it is Chinese, can be charged with the same cable and charger that you have at home for any device, you go to someone's house and you know that they will have it for it even if they have to disconnect a TV or screen to power your laptop (since they require more power than a mobile phone), you go to a bar, office or any business and you know that they will surely have something to charge your device with.
Luckily I think that I only have one micro USB device now like air purifier, battery charger and such that don't need to be modernized, but I have almost anything portable with micro USB, be it cell phones, headphones, keyboard, mouse, laptop (the Lenovo one I have has its own high-power charger because it's a gaming one, but it can be powered by a 100W USB Type C one apparently).
Screens that fold in 3 or more are very nice, but risky and above all... expensive. I would rather see the future be towards mini projectors and controls through accessories that we carry around... just imagine your laptop or tablet being a bracelet and a foldable sheet on which to project, along with a small cube or clip that we carry around and can rest on... possibly the cell phone itself (there are cell phones with a projector).
What's more, there is the science to be able to project both a full screen and a projected image from something as small as a mobile phone, for which you can imagine that we only need a physical place to work on (and it will surely hurt our fingers to hit the table so much XD).
EH!, who knows, maybe the things I mentioned for portable consoles, since being thicker and having more battery it would be more viable to incorporate these elements, even being modular accessories to replace the control knobs.
Imagine for a professional who would replace one of the side controls with:
Mini keyboard
Touchpad, a trackpad or a mouse
Mini projector that puts both the large screen and the keyboard on the table, it would not have its own battery when using the device's battery or it would have an adjustable support system and a USB type C connection to be used in another place without having to be attached to the device.
And really, these are technologies that already existed 10 years ago, only the modular tablet theme was not carried out with it XD, but today, it would be more than possible. In addition to that, your keyboard cover to use it as a more normal computer as seen in the Microsoft Surface or Apple Ipad for normal use.
And to finish... more than 10 years ago there were already ways to use our mobile as a desktop PC, the only thing missing is that they put 100% identical browsers to the desktop ones to manage a thousand tabs and favorites comfortably XD. Today with the USB type C it would be even easier, since if it were standardized, you would only have to connect a type C cable from any monitor or TV to the mobile, and it would be charging at full power (without needing to use a battery) while we can use wireless peripherals or even connected by USB to the screen. Because yes, gentlemen, nowadays screens can have built-in HUBs, which means that in addition to the typical speakers, they can have built-in webcams and USB ports for external hard drives, keyboard, mouse and others.
Nowadays, only budget, knowledge and standardization are so limiting XD. If I had money, I would have all of this discussed in use, but as when it comes to renewing, normally technology without these advantages is cheaper and there is more variety, so it is not purchased.
I say goodbye, I could write another book and there could have been 10 posts on different topics XD.
----
So, now that I think about it, I wouldn't look to innovate more on what currently exists, but to standardize and improve the current software.
For me, thinking about Lenovo and Nvidia, what I would like is to see AI integrated for common use situations, being able to interact by voice to change not only brightness, volume and simple searches, but to be able to talk to local AI with more basic commands such as turn off the computer, hibernate it, open a certain application, put me in power mode, show me performance statistics on the screen and other common menus that we use but without the need for interaction or touching buttons.
Being able to change screens, turn off computers, drive from bed or from a distance without having to see the screen would be very nice. I imagine having headphones on and telling it to find a certain video and play it for me, being able to tell it to skip ads without using a physical device to do so, easily raising and lowering the volume, rejecting or accepting a Discord call, joining or leaving Discord groups...
Everyday uses that are complementary to our usual tasks, without having to leave them to interact, currently exist but you have to configure them manually or they are limited in some aspects.
For me, the real breakthrough will be when we reduce to the minimum the amount of hardware needed to interconnect devices and we can handle them in an intuitive way without prior knowledge, even asking the AI for the menus and options available for each situation, recommending commands and actions that we usually do by hand so that we can do them with it.
Let the AI be like our true assistant, and instead of suggesting ads or things to buy, it also recommends ways to interact with it to make our lives easier without resorting to news or complex tutorials.
What's more, possibly in the future, AI will use profiles of our web tastes, but also of our use of the PC, consoles, mobiles, etc... to recommend new programs, ways of use, peripherals, etc. that we may not know about... and if it gets annoying, maybe just tell it that we don't need them ^^.
Example, I have solar panels, I look at lighting issues... and home automation, it knows that I use applications for it and I use voice commands to interact with things in the house... well, let AI itself tell you ways to integrate everything better, better complementary devices for my case :).
I want to be able to say by voice, open Lenovo Legion on Twitch on TV, and have it do it (right now I don't think I can specify by voice that it chooses a specific channel for me), what's more, I want it to say, I want to watch Lenovo Legion and ask me if I want to watch it on the PC or mobile if I'm in front of it, or if I want to watch it on the TV, turn it on and put it on directly. With Netflix, for example, it kind of works, but as a gamer, I'm a big Twitch user XD.
And if we apply it to the Lenovo Legion Go... I want to be able to tell it to play any stream I want, music, news, tell me new content published on Youtube that I usually follow, forum posts, tell me upcoming GameTogether events or in short... it knows how to read my usual usage and thanks to the fact that it knows where I usually click to perform those actions, it knows how to recreate them without having to tell it step by step... although another option would be to tell it how to click, and tell it the texts or icons where it should click XD.
Anyway... I'm still thinking too much XD
P.S.: But for now, the idea of a bracelet to interact with devices connected to it, be it mobile, PC, TV, etc., with a few simple movement gestures and joining fingers has made me fall in love.
P.S.2: I'm open to trying new things, giving feedback, ideas and others more calmly than writing on the fly in the forum... if they provide me with the means to do so of course XD. I always like to try new things, from my first computer that I took apart and compiled my drivers in GNU/Linux to have internet, to today documenting some things and reporting on Lenovo, or on Microsoft Insider with the Xbox ecosystem, my Stadia era logically ended... and Bethesda was also absorbed by Microsoft XD. Let's see what Nvidia surprises us with now since there are new markets to exploit with portable consoles, technological clothing and AI ^^.
P.S.: End of statement, these comments would have helped me create my own little session at a conference XD.
The reason for the terms for the competition ending at the 7th is that it's the last day of the event and since there are prizes and swag bags and so on being given out at Lan50 -- some of them quite vaulable -- we have to cover things in the t&c's.
As for picking a winner, well it is a midwinter activation so we'll be picking the lucky member who gets to take a friend to the event over the holiday weekend!
Come join us for the game night on the 7th, we're playing Marvel Rivals, but we can pick up some side quests for Diablo 4 or some of the other games as well. I haven't played ESO in years so you'd probably have to carry me. :P
-- The human embodiment of golden retriever energy.
The elder scroll online if I remember correctly has an automatic level scaling system, which allows you to enjoy all the usual content regardless of your level, in dungeons and pvp it can be quite noticeable due to the increase in difficulty, and possible lack or lack of knowledge of mechanics of course XD.
I sometimes took advantage of this to start a new expansion with its story, and it didn't matter the level of my character in this regard to be able to enjoy it :), the game itself is quite accessible, over time they did something similar with Fallout 76 where almost every enemy is adapted to the level of your character, with some area limitations and difficulty increases in advanced areas where novices should not go XD.
Diablo IV also did the same, there can be 4 people of different levels in the same place and each one the enemies will appear as if it were an area of their level.
Again, the dungeons can be more complex.
That has allowed over time games with a lot of content to allow seasoned veterans and new people to play together, preventing the world from feeling empty, lifeless or having to split up into too many servers :). And it also prevents you from being stuck farming in one area until the end of time because the enemies are too weak and boring because you can't go to another area where they are tougher XD. That allows games that may be a decade old to also continue entertaining veterans and new people when they add new content :).
Games like Marvel Rivals and other shooters, moba, fighting games, etc., don't have a problem with it since they don't have an RPG factor between games and almost the only character progression is cosmetics ^^.
Well, if my schedule works, I'll try to join the "LAN" from home XD. I'll probably have to settle for digital rewards as well as hopefully technological surprises and nice experiences ^^.
