    @Lascax so does your community level affect your chances in winning in the events or it is just there to show how long have you been here ??

    @ahmedmagdyfouad1 Neither in both giveaways I think.
    The Top monthly posts are just drawn between top posters in equal chances, as @Sarkhan has often shown in the italian community raffles.
    The montlhy giveaway events are point-based on your monthly actions with gleam.io ( I tried harder for the January one ) and the points you gain are the same regardless of your profile level.

    So yeah, this profile level is mostly to show how much active you are in the community like in most forum systems like this.

    You are right in your observation about the changes in the system and there are indeed other factors that influence leveling up besides the number of posts For example receiving likes or giving likes can significantly help in increasing your level Additionally participating in events or receiving comments on your posts can also contribute to leveling up

    It might be beneficial to consider adjusting the system to take all these factors into account in a more balanced way

    @mohamed_5090 From my personal experience utilizing forums, the best metric is just the numbers of posts.
    If receiving likes or even more giving would count, then you'd see people doing discussions just for that purpose and even "annoying" people with dozens of notifications per day because you'd incentivize giving likes at each post you can find, especially older ones.
    The profile level purpose should be to recognize the active participation in the community activities, and even more recognizing whose posts should be taken more seriously because of mere experience interacting with them.
    Giving likes should totally not be a tool to gather experience, but much more a tool of recognized appreciation. As much as I'd want to recognize that receiving them is also a useful metric, this often lead to people just giving each other likes if any kind of progression is involved, making liked posts having much less meaning.

    A surplus for creating discussions rather than just replying, tho, is indeed a good metric ( and of course is event participation ).

    @Lascax
    believe your perspective is correct in some points but the importance of the number of comments and likes that posts receive cannot be overlooked It is important to consider that these metrics are not just tools for attracting attention or collecting points, but rather reflect individuals engagement with the content and the community Engaging with posts through comments can contribute to enriching discussions and exchanging ideas while the impact that likes can have as a measure of influence and reach should not be ignored

    Also, its important to note that the number of comments on your posts helps increase your points and level Similarly the likes you receive from others are part of the evaluation not just the likes you give to others Participation in events also contributes to raising your level In the end its not limited to just one thing its a combination of several factors that reflect your active engagement in the community
