As a user of a mobile GPU with just 6 gb of ram, I can list a lot of complaints and inabilities it has caused me over the year. Not just in a gaming viewpoint, but also considering workstation capabilities, 6 gb just won't cut it, even after testing the latest laptops with the new GPU's. Even 4090 mobile laptop GPU's don't do much stuff even with 16 gigs of ram when the entire thing is being capped at a 140w.

I may look stupid comparing a mobile GPU and a proper GPU, but this is a platform which I'm accustomed to. Games today have become more demanding and laptop/portable hardware is not cutting the requirement quota anymore.

The disparity in performance is evident and quite understandable.

I have a GPU with 8GB and another with 24GB of VRAM, and I wouldn't buy anything with less than 16GB anymore. 8GB is a complete joke btw and it's ridiculous that they're still being sold.
