@DoctorEldritch Awesome!! The game definitely looks decent enough. I'm going to grab it. 🙂

@ZaidH I put Tiny Book Shop on my list, I'll see if I can give it a try before I leave on vacation next week 😊 Not sure if it is only British literature or not, though. Other countries have plenty of fantastic books to offer, too 😉

@DracoTarot It looks decent, and it is also quite cheap. Double points 😉

@DoctorEldritch Do share your impressions if you got a chance to play the game after you’re back. I’m really intrigued by it too. Getting that British lit knowledge before diving into the Thursday Next series 😄 Also, you just made me wonder how international my book list actually is 🤔 Maybe we can share this stat once you’re back from vacation.

@ZaidH I am going away on vacation later this week, but I got a chance to give it a go this weekend. I enjoyed it, it is rather cosy and chill. There aren't that many books on rota (as in, they start repeating relatively soon), but it is still enough to keep it interesting. I learned about some books I did not know about, and the game is rather broad in its definition of books, you can see things like Death Note, Attack on Titan or Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life in its roster. And it is international, too, with authors from China, Korea, Germany, France, etc. All in all, I enjoyed it, you just need to approach it with the right mindset that it is not a puzzle or a challenge, it is a chill game with bibliophile vibes for relaxation.

I am actually finishing the Thursday Next series myself, I am on the last book now (though the next is planned for sometime this year). After that, I will need to find something new to read while I'm on vacation 📖

@DracoTarot Here is a bit of news for you in this older thread: while The Occultist is not even released yet, its developers announced their next horror game called Frame Zero:

Makes sense, it's Halloween season, so we have horror announcements galore 😉 But I find it a bit reassuring that they feel confident enough to announce their next game before releasing their first, so it will be at least interesting to follow, I hope.

@DoctorEldritch The trailer looks awesome. Definitely my type of game and will download it when released.

Do you also sense Halloween doesn't seem to be as much of a big deal this year. There's not a lot of announcements or even new movie releases.

On the other hand shopping centers here already started putting up Christmas decorations. It seems a bit bizarre to me.

@DracoTarot while you wait, what's your take on No, I'm not a Human? It seems to be doing quite well:

    And it is already out.

I am not sure, maybe it's a bit early? Halloween is not Christmas, it only gets 1-2 weeks of thematic things. Maybe something will come out still. I have not been keeping a close eye on it, but I'll make note to pay attention until then, in case there is something.

Ah, well. Nightmare before Christmas, eh? 😉

@DoctorEldritch I'm going to as a buddy to grab No, I'm not human and ask if it's worthwhile. I guess if so many copies were sold, the game must be good.

It's almost the end of October and Halloween is around the corner. So far I haven't seem any events that are planned as usual.

Usually our local clubs and pubs arrange a themed night and have competitions for the best dressed including live entertainment. This year it's quiet as a grave.

Seems like there's no Nightmare before Christmas this year. 😆

@DracoTarot No, I'm not a Human did get a lot of good reviews. I'd say, with this game, it comes down to whether you like this genre or not. It is quite close to Papers, Please gameplay-wise, just with a different overall vibe. Liking gameplay is good, and liking the vibe is good, but if for this game they coincide, that's when you can really enjoy the game.

Hmm, true, we're closer to the thing now, but there is not so much in sight where I am either. Odd... Then again, the one thing I like about any such celebration, be it Halloween, Christmas or Valentine's, is chocolate discounts the day after. So long as we have those, I'm good 🍫
