when my legion go arrived it was working perfectly until i started experiencing a stick drift issue
i was surprised because with analog hall effect sensors stick drift isn’t supposed to happen at all

i did some research to see what i could do and found a temporary solution whenever the problem appeared i would reset the stick and then reattach it
but i really didn’t like the idea of having to reset it every time it was frustrating

thanks to reddit i discovered that the issue was actually software related not hardware
this software problem was reported by a very small percentage of legion go owners
some people even replaced the entire stick which fixed the problem for a while but then it came back later
there was also the idea of creating custom settings for the dead zone

a lot of people were sharing temporary fixes but i didn’t like that i just wanted to play not troubleshoot issues

i tried going to the official service center but unfortunately i couldn’t replace the device
i even considered buying a new controller to solve the problem but i found out that the issue comes back again after a while
so clearly it was a software problem and the only way to fix it was from the device itself
i tried doing a full system reset but the problem persisted

after all that it turned out the issue was actually very simple
the driver for the controller was installed twice
so i uninstalled one of them restarted the device and everything started working perfectly
it turned out to be a really trivial problem in the end
