Steam is having Animal Fest!

Now that Halloween is over, Steam is bringing in some cosiness and cuteness, I guess. Just as well, as we're in the middle of a gloomy November. Here is a glimpse of what's on offer:



For all animal lovers, there are some good choices, and unlike many other sales, some recent ones, too. My Little Puppy, for example, was just released last week, but it already has a small discount (and an Overwhelmingly Positive Steam score to boot). Then there are some of the good games from the past, like Little Kitty, Big City and Hello Kitty Island Adventure. @Telomina I remember your post about that game, hopefully now more people will get to check it out 😊

And then there are offers for new Early access games, like Whiskerwood that released Early Access last week. The gameplay there is remeniscent of another Early Access game, Timberborn ( @ChristianRasmussen I remember you liked that one in one of the past fests earlier this year), but unlike Whiskerwood, Timberborn has been in Early Access for over 4 years already 😅

Thank you for the tag! Yeah, the game has soooo much gameplay too. I have over 80h and haven't even finished the world quests, inhabitants is barely started and then theres a dlc now too.

@Telomina you're welcome 😊 Hello Kitty Island Adventure seems like a good deal for over 80 hours of game, and that is not even the end of it. Many AAA games can't match time like that. Speaking from a cynical pragmatic "value for money" viewpoint 😅

Anything else catch your eye? I keep wondering when they will fully release Timberborn. 4 years in Early Access is a bit...

@DoctorEldritch I already have spirit of the north 2. It's a nice game but there's something thats annoying me with how thr graphics look. I also have played a bit of little Kitty big city but got a bit bored, I have goat Sim 3 and thats a fun one for when you feel silly and high energy. Unfortunately thats very rare for me. I tried Tunic but haven't finished it.

@Telomina Oh my, that's a lot. I have Spirit of the North 2 and Tunic as well, and all 3 Cat Quests, all from EGS giveaways, but I have not finished any of them, they just sit there for now.

I also gave Wingspan a try: I loved the illustrations and art there, but gameplay proved a bit too complicated and tedious for me. Not that it's a bad thing, but for me, it put a game in that odd category where art makes you want to relax, but complex gameplay mechanic keeps your brain stimulated, and it was a bit of a dissonance for me.
