Recently got the Legion Go Gen 2, and it's amazing. The new OLED screen is gorgeous and now the screen gets so dark. The controller are great (most important), the grips actually fit my hands perfectly without making my thumbs cramp up.

My only real complaint is that the battery life still isn't magic. If you're playing a big, heavy game, you're still going to be reaching for a charger after a couple of hours. Also it's expensive but i think it will last me several years and it's one of the best handhelds on the market.

@Blackice026 Glad you're having a good time with it Blackice!

I'm like you, I prefer a chunkier handheld for my big hands, so the size of devices like this benefits me greatly!

A quick one on battery life, I think it's magic these devices can even play some of these games in our hands we could only have dreamed of when I was younger, but have you toyed with adjusting the TDP under Thermal Mode in the settings?

Tweaking this per game might allow you to min/max performance vs battery life!

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Legion Go 2! There was a lot of hard work put into the device and we are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying it.

On battery life, You can edit the power plan to Power Saving by going into Settings, Power and Battery and switch the power mode to Best Power Efficiency.

You can also go into Edit Power plan and reduce the Maximum CPU Power State to 95%.

You'll have slight less performance but batter battery lie for longer gaming sessions.,

Let us know if this works out for you and take care!

Oh, that's cool. I'm happy for you, bro.

I'm wondering, though, are you using Steam OS or Windows on your Legion Go?

Tweaking the TDP is something is have not tried but seems like a great solution. It would be nice if there were game profiles that you could save which also contain TDP settings, so it would be applied automatically.

That sounds like a really solid upgrade. The OLED screen and improved controllers seem like the biggest wins, especially if the grips are finally comfortable for longer sessions. Battery life is still the main weakness with powerful handhelds, but if it gives around two hours in demanding games, that is probably the trade-off for this level of performance. The price is high, but it sounds worth it if the build quality holds up for several years.
