There’s something about Tekken 3 that today’s fighting games still can’t copy. Maybe it’s the arcade memories, the button-mashing battles with friends, or the excitement of unlocking new characters after hours of gameplay. Jin, Hwoarang, Eddy, King — every character felt unique and actually fun to play.
Modern fighting games have better graphics, bigger stories, and online competition, but Tekken 3 had a different vibe. It was simple, addictive, and somehow more personal. Even now, people still download it, emulate it, and talk about it like it never left.
That says a lot about how powerful the game really was.
Do you think any modern fighting game will ever create the same emotional connection that Tekken 3 did?

I think this is deeply tied to that nostalgia feeling, Tekken 3 was one of my first fighting games back in the day and it definitely holds a place in my heart, but I imagine the same could be said for people who got into fighting games with say... Street Fighter IV (Another one close to my heart, Hakan ftw!)

What other games from that era give you the irreplaceable nostalgia feeling?

For me it's SSX 3 and GTA Vice City!

@Mehboobtekken Aside from nostalgia, older games used to have their own identity more and they were made with more personal feeling rather than commercial (that's how it is me to at least 😅)

And don't forget! The younger the game is, the more "new" it was at the time because Tekken 3 was a leap in everything, Tekken 8 we already know 60% what it is! You can't really replicate that feeling anymore!
