Alright guys... I have to say it.

Week 3 has probably been my favorite week of the Esports World Cup so far.

Mainly because two of my all time favorite games were finally on the big stage. I've easily put over 600 hours into EA SPORTS FC and surely 6,000+ hours into Teamfight Tactics if not more over the years, so I was unbelievably excited to watch both tournaments unfold.
And somehow... both ended up being far more unpredictable than I expected.

    Let's get into it!
    🍳 PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
    🥇 Virtus.pro — $660,000
    🥈 The Vicious Esports — $305,000
    🥉 NaVi — $213,000

PUBG once again reminded everyone why battle royales are some of the craziest esports to watch.
The brand new Smash Rule created complete chaos, and at one point it looked like almost anyone could steal the championship. Even crazier, during the very first Smash Rule match, Virtus.pro were the first team eliminated, making everyone think the title race had been blown wide open.
Instead, they recovered brilliantly and still secured the championship, proving why they're one of the strongest PUBG teams in the world right now.

    ⚽ EA SPORTS FC 26
    🥇 RVPLEGEND— $250,000
    🥈 Levyfinn— $150,000
    🥉 Bonanno — $75,000
Coming into the tournament, everyone was talking about one man: Vejrgang.
The world number one had an absurd 3,668 FC Pro ranking points, while second place wasn't even close on 2,484. Then one of the biggest upsets in FC Pro history happened.
Nassada eliminated Vejrgang in the quarterfinals. That's exactly why we love esports. Rankings matter... until kickoff.

    🧩 Teamfight Tactics
    🥇 Team Vision — $150,000
    🥈 Aurora Gaming — $90,000
    🥉 AG.AL — $50,000
If you had told me before the event that China would completely dominate TFT, I probably would've believed you...
    But not like this.
Team Vision looked unstoppable throughout the playoffs, securing another gold medal for China. Watching coordinated 4v4 TFT at the highest level was honestly one of the highlights of the entire Esports World Cup so far, and the level of preparation from the Chinese teams was absolutely insane.

If Week 3 taught us anything, it's that at the Esports World Cup, being the favorite doesn't guarantee you anything.
