To all the Europeans on here, I'm looking for advice on how to survive my first ever summer without AC. It's been absolutely brutal for me, whether indoors or outdoors. Virtually no private homes have AC, my university doesn't have it, and only rarely do I even see it in public spaces. How do you guys deal with this?

We will be shooting fireworks off at the lake. Our neighbors on both side of our house are Vietnam Veterans. They both have PTSD and loud noises can set them off.

Anyone own an ARC desktop card and find it actually surprising how well the feature set worked? I own an ARC B580 as a dedicated encoder now, but have tested XeSS and some of it's other features and was pleasantly surprised. They are not bandwidth starved either, so light to mid 1440p gaming at an entry level is totally doable, and the 12GB VRAM helps with that. I've only had to do a workaround one time ever in a game to get it to run, which is disappointing. But for the right price these cards really are not that bad. The encoders are terrific and rival NVENC, you get plenty of VRAM, and now they have feature sets rivaling Nvidia. H.264 and AV1 encoding, multi-frame generation, Upscaling, XeLL to rival Nvidia Reflex, and more. Honestly it's made me even more disappointed in AMD with what Intel has been able to do driver wise, despite it not being a huge priority for them.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this as a subject or as a question I get a little confused about? When I can afford a laptop, I want to use Fedora with an Nvidia GPU. This is because I want the CUDA cores to run other programs/calculations, basically. I am done with Windows! For anyone who has any know-how about this as a subject. Nvidia and Linux are not the most compatible; however, there are drivers available for it to operate. I want to know if anyone uses an up-to-date Nvidia card (50 series) on Linux and plays Steam on it. Do you have exactly the same functionality? e.g what works and what does not. Does DLSS work on Linux for example, or are there any restrictions? Is there anything else that does not work, or are there always workarounds? Or does it just plain work the same as it would on Windows? Thanks in advance, J

Has convened to define and test the next major global leap in consumer technology. The new 50W Qi wireless charging standard. Double the speed: The goal is to standardize 50W of wireless power. To put this into perspective, this doubles the 25W of the current standard (Qi2), making wireless charging as fast as conventional wired charging. What's truly historic is that traditionally rival brands are collaborating so that a Xiaomi charger, for example, can charge an iPhone or a Google Pixel at maximum speed, and vice versa, without ecosystem restrictions. This technology allows for more power without the phone overheating in your hands, controlling heat and allowing phones to remain slim. Lenovo is an active member of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This opens the door to charging low-power laptops (like Chromebooks or Lenovo's Yoga range) simply by placing them on a desk. Gaming Ecosystem and Peripherals: For high-performance divisions, a unified standard of this power allows for the design of mousepads and desktop charging stations that charge mice, keyboards, or headphones at lightning speeds while you play or work, eliminating the excessive heat that previously damaged batteries. Motorola is a subsidiary of Lenovo. In the smartphone market, Motorola is already preparing the native integration of the next generations of the Qi standard into its devices to compete directly with the charging speeds of Apple and Samsung. 🙂 This is excellent news, there is strength in unity 💪🏽 🧠
