Hardware Canucks: Lenovo Legion Slim 7 Review

Video

“This might not be the best gaming laptop of 2021 but it’s certainly unique.”

No one wants to be boring.

We provided Hardware Canucks, the YouTube tech review extraordinaires, with a Lenovo Legion 7 loaner to put through their oh-so-thorough paces.

As Legion Gaming Community members know, we like to post reviews warts-and-all, not just the paid ones with their overwhelmingly glowing remarks. So, on that note, we did a [re]test of the issues with the keyboard lighting that they mentioned and we can (with much relief) report that customers should not have these issues at this point.

For those not totally up-to-date on our naming conventions, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is the model with AMD Ryzen processors and AMD RTX graphics cards while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i has Intel and Nvidia components.

Per usual, our Canadian friends' deep dive on the product for over 15 minutes.

Shadow black, you say? It just sounds cool, ya know?

Jokes aside, we understand that aesthetics matter. Yes, we have to deliver on the gaming performance guaranteed of a gaming device with the Lenovo Legion name, but with the Slim models, we designed them to suit the type of person whose mouth waters at the site of the picture above.
