Ubisoft Transforms Uplay into Ubisoft Connect

Uplay is getting a facelift.

Ubisoft aims to draw their branding a little closer together, developing an “ecosystem of player services for all Ubisoft games across all platforms”.

Uplay branding is now gone, and Ubisoft Connect has taken its place. With platforms like Steam and GOG updating their platforms to reflect a more inter-connected gaming world, it’s clear Ubisoft is looking to do the same.

Ubisoft Connect feels very familiar to gamers used to Uplay, but sees a fresh new lick of paint, along with a more streamlined way to access game statistics, friend communication, in-game rewards, and more.

The platform went live with the release of Watch Dogs Legion on October 29th, and players didn't have to do anything; Uplay simply received an update that transformed it into the shiny new service.
