Xbox Game Pass - Games You Should Play

With so many games on Xbox Game Pass, it's hard to find time to play everything...

What titles do you recommend that others with Game Pass check out?

For me - I wholeheartedly recommend the Ori and the Blind Forest series. Both games are amazing, and you're missing out if you don't at least try them.

What other hidden gems would you suggest?

  • *So* many good games on there, lots of big popular ones like Crusader Kings 3 and Dishonored 2 which I've really enjoyed... but for hidden gems... I would have to go for...

BATTLETECH: Turn based strategy with upgradable big stompy mechs! Levelling up pilots, building the perfect Mech and an overarching story. Loved it!

Otherwise I'd go for Greedfall, really enjoyable RPG with a strong story and fun combat system. Scratched the itch left by Dragon Age!

  • Older thread but great topic!

Currently, Forza Horizon 5 has had my attention. It has bugs but visually is a masterpiece and has allowed me to reconnect with old friends. I do play Streets Of Rage 4 from there, and a Game I thoroughly enjoyed but may not be on there anymore is Celeste: A beautiful pixel based platformer that will stress you out, but cleverly touches and opens up discussions to our mental health! A game I really valued during the pandemic!

  • I know this is slightly old but Last Stop is a really great indie game. A puzzle game of sorts but the story was great.

  • i suggest Hades and Doom i liked this both games very much. And my favorite is HITMAN Trilogy

  • Sometimes there are so many good games on it that it's hard to choose. From big AAA titles like Jedi: Fallen Order to indie jewels like Raji or Omno. And if you're into narrative games, absolutely give Life is Strange: True Colors a chance (and As Dusk Falls looks very promising, can't wait until it releases!).

  • Great suggestions here! Let me pick the up.

  • I highly recommend Hitman 3, I'm not the best in stealth games but this one is just amazing. Of course if someone didn't already play it - Hellblade. This game is one of the best I played in long time.

  • Just googled Hellblade and it looks really good! What's your favorite aspect of the game?

  • I like to just try everything for myself, but I do feel the service has ruined how much time I give a game to click. Obviously when you have bought a brand new game and spent £50+ on it, you’re more inclined to invest more time into it. Personally if I had played a game like Dark Souls for free I may have just uninstalled it after an hour and moved on, depriving myself of such a great series. But who knows how many games I have missed out on because it just didn’t click straight away on GamePass.

Saying that, I have been quite enjoying Forza Horizon 5 on it recently, and I see that Assassins Creed Origin has just been added. I do think people sleep on EA Access being a part of the service as well, some good older games on there like Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2.

  • A Plague Tale: Innocence and the upcoming sequel, Requiem. The first one is an incredible experience and so i hope the 2nd happens to be one as well
