Games

Hello!

Does anyone know of any "hidden gems" of game that are amazing but don't get enough light? I'm interested in trying something new and exciting!

  • Risk of Rain 2 on Steam its basically a never ending survival game where you face different enemies each time. There is a final boss/ending to it but you can choose to skip it and keep going also as time passes by the game itself gets harder. There's also different in game mods of where it changes the game like only facing one enemy for each level or being able to choose the items you loot from chests etc.

  • HVe you every tried tibia?

  • Agree that Continuum is pretty cool/  Great to see so many games to try out from everyone!

  • Interesting to hear everyone's takes here. I love finding hidden gems or games that just flew under the radar. I'm keeping tabs on this conversation!

  • I had a lot of fun with Turmoil! It was a change of pace for me, being a 2D management strategy game. It’a set in the late 1800s (I believe, though maybe it’s early 1900s lol) and you are trying to become an oil baron.

Gameplay is essentially set up rigs to drill down for oil and collect as much as you can over the course of the level. The more you collect, the more money you earn, the more money you can spend to lease new land and buy upgrades. The music was very good too. I put it on the background sometimes, it’s easy listening for me.

Not sure if it’s completely hidden, as I did see a couple of bigger YouTubers play it. But I haven’t found anyone in my circle that has played it. Definitely recommend if you like the management/strategy games!

  • OneShot is a great indie game

  • You should try Valheim!

  • Luna - A beautiful puzzle game. (Since there are multiple Luna games, I'm talking about the one where there's a little red bird on the thumbnail.)
Why Am I Dead At Sea - Adventure game where you need to solve your own murder.
Teacup - A game about a little frog who needs to collect ingredients for her tea party.
Ossuary - A dark, very strange, and satirical game that has dialogue-based puzzles.
Tales of Cosmos - Point-and-click adventure game where you help a monkey and a dog explore the cosmos.
Forgotten Hill franchise - For those who have enjoyed the Rusty Lake / Cube Escape games, and want something similar.
Brukel - "A first-person exploration game based on the actual memories of a 92-year-old grandmother, told to players in her own voice."

  • I know a lot of greats games that don’t get a lot of attention from a lot of people, one game is called black desert online. This is a mmorpg that has been around for some time but still does not have that many people who know about it and even less people who play it. I love this game because they have been updating the game a lot and there is also a great story for the game. Another thing that makes this game great is the leveling system and the characters selection, both of these features give the game a lot of options for how you play. Another game that does not get a lot of attention from people is the game ark survival evolved this game is some of my favorites and it is also a game that I have spent a lot of time playing. One of the reasons why I think this game does not get a lot of attention is because of the time that you have to put into it, you have to spend weeks of playing to finally get to the point of where you are good at the game but than someone can come and destroy all the things you have worked for but in total it is a really good game and I think a lot of people like it. One other game I can think of that does not get a lot of light is the original destiny, it was a really popular game a few years ago and now it does not get that much attention. The only reason I believe this to be true is because I have to wait about 10 minutes for a strike team to be formed, this may also be because a lot of people don’t play on the ps4 anymore.

  • Crosscode is a hidden gem to play.
