Will a gaming pc with a 4K graphics card be necessary for just Video VR streaming and usage?

  • I'd say it is likely based on the fact that VR video will usually require additional data. Instead of sending a single 1080 x 1920 pixel video stream, you may be sending much more data. Currently, most 360 videos on the web use 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). That’s four times more data than 1080p HD.

  • Here are the recommendations on the web. A gaming PC with at least one NVDIA GeForce GTX video card or similar one.. In addition, the PC must have at least 8GB RAM, an Intel Core i5 processor, and enough USB ports

  • You don't need to be able to run games in 4k. I would say you should at least have a GTX 1070 as a minimum with anything around a 3060 is ideal.

  • Thanks for the information.

  • I know that VR has a long way to go, I know there will be more tech added, I can't wait to see what they do next.

  • I will love to see, what will be next on VR.
