Storage questions about legion 7 slim laptop. 82K80001US

Ive had this laptop for about a year and am looking to upgrade the storage from 512gb ssd to 1,512 by adding a tb of storage. Before I buy the storage I just wanted to make sure that there is a extra slot. Thank you in advance!

I looked into it and it seems the laptop has an extra M.2 2280 slot.

i believe it has a second slot and make sure the faster drive is the boot drive

One quick piece of advice; always buy way more memory than you think you are going to need. Every year games get bigger and bigger and so do video files.

According to the Hardware Maintenance Manual, there is only one M.2 NVME slot for that model.

I find Crucial slightly more trustworthy than Samsung. They have a utility on their website which makes it easy to match their parts with your system — "Scan my system". I believe, however, this is the link to yours (or closest match):

According to Linus Tech Tips or Level1Techs (YouTube), however, Sabrent may have the best performing m.2 NVME SSD, now.

You can look for "Removal and Replacement" videos for your model, here — but, they do not seem to have it. Perhaps, try one of the similar models (e.g. 82TF, 82BC, 82HM) or search by your system's serial number instead:
