Legion Tower 7i Gen 8 (T7 34IRZ8 - Type 90V7) Maximum Storage Capacity

Hey everyone, I just got my hands on this beautiful tower with i9 and 4090. I saw that the maximum storage capacity for all types of storage is 2TB in the specifications but I also heard somewhere that it is a recommended value that is tested to work and we may go beyond that. Has anyone tried with connecting more than 2TB of storage (any type) in one slot? I am specifically interested in the 4TB nvme ssd ones. Thanks in advance!

  • I haven't tested it,  windows has not capped the limitation of Windows drive sizes so you won't need to worry about that. I have yet to see anyone complain that they can't upgrade to a higher-capacity NVME. You can try to google the answer, but you won't find any ceiling. Anyways congrats on getting a fantastic computer!

  • Good find.   I haven't had a desktop in about a decade though.   Make sure you are not exceeding your power cap.

  • 2TB is the most I've ran on NVMe SSDs, but would be curious to know.

  • That is nice congratulations.

  • I don't have an answer for you but congrats on the acquisition.  Sounds nice!

  • Congrats on the great system!  4TB should be no problem as primary or secondary drive

  • I have a viewer who installed a 4TB drive with no issue. If you go to this video and search for jamespierce in the comments, he mentioned he used a 4TB Acer Predator drive: www.youtube.com/watch

  • Congrats!! I would also like to know if you can upgrade to 4TB Nvme

  • I have installed 4TB Crucial into my older 9700k z390 Motherboard. I think u will do just fine! Btw please update us when u get this beast of a pc :)
