It’s be great if Lenovo would bring the Y700 tablet to the US, and continue the line every year or two.

I love gaming on tablets. Phones are just too small, no matter how “big” they are.

The thing is, tablets are too big as well.

I want a powerful 7”-8” tablet that can play android games, emulators and  do game streaming. This is the perfect size to use controller attachments too!

Lenovo has such a thing, but only offered in Asia, from what I could find.

- Snapdragon 870

- 8gb or 12gb ram Flushed

This is an untapped market and Lenovo could swoop in and sweep the market. Not just for gamers either. Lots of people want a smaller tablet, but every 7”-8” tablet is so slow with bad specs, except iPad Mini. iPad Literally has no competition in that area of the market.

Please Lenovo, bring this tablet to the market for a good price!!

PS: I’m sure that nobody would mind if a new tablet was made with the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 and active cooling. Wink

  • Interesting.  I don't use a tablet so really have no opinion,.

  • Hi Beefsupreme :) I agree that tablet gaming is a great experience, and finding the perfect size can be challenging. The Lenovo Y700 tablet sounds like a fantastic device, and it's a shame that it's only available in Asia now. I understand your frustration with the lack of high-performance tablets in the 7"-8" size range.

It's great to see that you've done your research on the specs of the Lenovo Y700 tablet, and it's impressive to see that it boasts a Snapdragon 870 and up to 12GB of RAM. This would make it an ideal device for gaming, emulators, and game streaming, especially with the addition of controller attachments.

There is a market for smaller tablets with high-performance specs, and Lenovo could splash in this market area. And you're right. The iPad Mini currently has no competition in this space, so there's an opportunity for a competitor to emerge.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, and I hope that Lenovo takes note of the demand for a device like the Y700 tablet in the US market. Who knows, they'll even consider your suggestion for a new tablet with the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 and active cooling!

  • I agree, an 8 inch higher end tablet would be perfect. I use a Samsung Galaxy tab S7 and I love it but it does feel a bit big sometimes.

  • I believe margins are too low and the market is not that big

  • The market for this type of tablet would be too small to be profitable in my opinion.

  • I bought a Lenovo Tab P11 because I needed a smallish tablet with a decent amount of RAM, but it's really too big at 11" - I want something the size of an iPad mini (which is also criminally underspecced).

  • You can buy one online and have it shipped, I believe they are unlocked. I am leaning towards that as my only option. Walmart and Alibaba both have them listed.

  • Depends. I have small fingers. I like to play on mobile.
