There are mobile phones created and dedicated to gaming, but with how technology has evolved, most if not all premium flagship phones offer the same amount of acceptable performance without cutting the quality of other features like the camera.
You can't go wrong with any new models, but I would suggest that you look at streaming services as well. I find GeForce Now to be great for gaming without overheating my phone. This service even allows me to play games like Apex Legends with pretty good performance.
Samsung s23 ultra has great specs for gaming but the new iphones are looking like they are goiing to dominate the mobile gaming scene with that ray tracing.
