How's everyone feeling about RTX 40 series?

Big announcement yesterday and seems like NVIDIA is still pricing these like there is a mining boom. I feel like a lot of people are going to have to rely on buying the RTX 30 series if they're building new for the next little while because the pricing for these new cards is nuts.

$1599 MSRP
Launches October 12

RTX 4080 16GB - $1199 USD
RTX 4080 12GB - $899 USD
No launch date for these although it's being said it will be November.

    i feel like this is AMD's big chance to have their ryzen moment vs nvidia, the prices on them seem wild combined with the specs of the cut down 4080, there is a huge gap. AMDs only fault with the current gen is ray tracing performance and DLSS still generally performs better than FSR, but AMD had a nice showing on performance in general and really closed that gap. Really excited for the GPU war coming up.
