Honestly, if Sony/Nintendo put effort into making official PC emulators to play their older console games on, and sold their games at a discount/let you use your physical games, they would probably tap into a decent market of nostalgic people.
I have my original PlayStation collections all the way back to PSX. I don't hat to have 5 consoles sitting on my tv stand. I have an emulator but don't want to connect my PC to the tv every time i want to play. I'm going to buy a an older loaded tower strictly to play classics.
