Gotta go fast

Enjoying the wealth of cRPGs on offer these days? If Wasteland 3 has been one of them, you’re not alone. Many players are enjoying inXile’s latest addition to the franchise, although long loading times and other issues have admittedly been concerns for the developer and players alike.

InXile have been hard at work on the game, fixing bugs and cleaning up the player experience, and now it seems players won’t have to wait as long to get into the game.

Detailing patch 1.1.2, inXile’s post on Steam lets players know they can expect load times to drop significantly:

“Do you hate long load times? We hate long load times. Our engineers changed how the game loads levels, reducing load times by up to 60% on PC and 25% on console.

  • As one example, on our PC test hardware a 38 second load time was reduced to 13 seconds.”

Sounds like good news for players who don’t like waiting around! Players will also appreciate knowing that several progress blockers, crashes, and bugs such as invisible enemies are also no longer a part of the game.

Back out into the fray, Ranger!
