@M2lobaz Not a workout in traditional meaning, but I returned to practicing kendo after a long hiatus.

I rarely depend on a walkthrough because most time I play multiplayer so no need for it

@DracoTarot Yeah, those old games were definitely challenging, but finding proper guides for these was even harder during the dial-up internet days👴Now you get insanely detailed walkthroughs like two days before the game even launches.

Actually, it was more of a map indicating where the side quests are.😂

Oh wow, that actually sounds pretty fun😯Games these days feels a little too hand holdy with these huge check box lists. Which Elder Scrolls game had this design btw?

Actually I remember the guides being pretty detailed circa 2005, however... they were text only. Massive walls of text. If you didn't follow them from the start, good luck! Some of them had some sort of indexing, that helped, but still had to read through a few paragraphs before finding the right part. Nowadays it is too easy with tons of pictures, hyperlinks etc.

It might be a regional thing too, back then I wasn't searching for the information in English and uh, Polish community had some real tryhards.

@Saka Life certainly did get a lot easier after I stumbled upon Gamefaqs😄Some of those guides were enough to fully drain your printer's ink😅I remember that some PC hardware and video game shops here used to compile these detailed guides, throw in some cheat codes with it, and then sell it as one thick book. Copyright wasn't a word in their dictionary😆

And yeah you're spot on about the regional thing because some of the popular guide websites were blocked by the ISP for reasons unknown😭What's not regional are the tryhards😅

@ZaidH I remember searching on the net for walkthroughs and when I eventually did they were all typed out in a word doc. No illustrations, just long text sheets to be printed out.

My first walkthroughs were printed on fax paper using a dot matrix printer LOL! Yes, that's how old I am.😂

When I bought Skyrim they had a map included in the special edition box set. The whole Skyrim map had the towns and cities on it and routes to the main quests but no side quests. I got hold of a printable map online that someone edited to pinpoint sidequests and where to find them.

It made things a whole lot easier. 😁

@DracoTarot Oh god that's true pain right there😂The only "illustration" that some of those guides had was the gigantic game name with the Doom logo font😆

Okay, now that's some proper old school cool stuff😯Those dot matrix printed sheets must be so aesthetically pleasing to look at🤩

Bless these kind souls for putting in so much work into these maps.

I remember some of the guides having a fancy ASCII header. 😂
