I don't know if this is a know issue or not, but I do NOT seem to be able to find anything hear with relevant data. What I have seen is this:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/LegionGo/co...mps/?rdt=51004

Personally on my Legion GO, I am also seeing high SSD temperatures when under load. Also I am seeing the temperature run hotter when a dock is attached to the Legion GO.

Just curious is anyone else here also seeing this? Thanks.

If you are using the "stock" SSD and you have not switched to a bigger one in there and so on, you should be fine.
There can be temperature errors that will spike your SSD temperatures super high, and those are invalid readings; of course, if your SSD is constantly somewhere over 70C, then you might have issues in the long run.

In the Reddit post the user is using aftermarket SSD which is not tested by Lenovo, so the temperatures can be due to it. I will download HWInfo and see what kind of temps I get.

    TL;DR
If you are using the stock SSD, not any of the aftermarket ones, it's safe to use. What kind of temperatures do you get at the moment?

Just to update my SSD temps, the Idle temperature seems to be between 35C and 40C, very safe temperatures IMO and understandable.

While playing without a charger (F1 2023) (Custom 30W mode) SSD temps were 48-50C (Temp 1), 60-66c (Temp2) and 47-49 (Temp3) I'm not sure which one of these is the controller and which is the storage itself. (You can get different values than I did, I just had 30% battery left while testing)

    While playing with a charger (F1 2023) (Custom 30W mode) SSD temps were 50C (Temp1) 63-66 (Temp2) and 50-51C (Temp3)

Just to add, I'm using Efficiency Power Mode from the Legion Space app since that was recommended on Reddit and my indoor temperature is somewhere between 22 to 24 Celsius.

Based on this, you are completely fine if your SSD temperatures with or without charging are below 70C.

Also, based on HWiNFO the warning operating temperature for the SSD is 84C and critical is 88C, so if the SSD heats over 88C, it will just shut itself down to prevent any damage.

Let me know what your findings are!

@SKYTRiXSHA I got my Legion GO with 1TB from Microcenter. It is the visiontek dlx4 that they put into those. I get temps ranging fro 44C to 70C depending on what I am doing. I do NOT like the fact that with a dock attached it is idling at 56C or so. When I cloned the drive to back up drive the temps go up to 84C, but generally it is not running that hot. Gaming while docked I am seeing 68-70C which is kind of annoying. Undocked gaming with 30W profile I am seeing 66C.

BTW In contrast to my ROG Ally, I am not seeing the same kind of SSD temps. I actually upgraded my Ally by myself to 1TB using the Micron 2450. I had another Micron 2450 the orignal 512GB (hence I had to do the cloning) that I also tried in the Legion GO and it got the higher temps like the dlx4. This seems to indicate there is something Lenovo is doing.

The reason for temps is just the lack of heatpads and airflow I would imagine, I have the 500gb version so cant compare to 1tb.
