    Hello Legion community

I posted this topic because I really dont expect something that flaw is happened in Lenovo products.

I owned Plenty of different Lenovo's PCs
    Lenovo G50-70 (2015)
    Yoga 310 (2016)
    Yoga 520(2017)
    YogaBook atom (2017)

And I am very appreciated about their services to my PC life enthusiasms

The point of bought them was a battery care policy that let it be able to let my work everyday on all time plugged without worry about battery degradation or become faulty.

Last year, I bought Legion Go as it for my long deal for my best previous portable PCs. it was pocket class, powerful, adorable, rich gaming screen, and innovative.

I was happy about device full of features and specs that I really felt like that it was a big deal.

Sadly, It didn't happened and it was my worst decision I've ever done. and Now I'm aware not to buy anymore legion products

I bought it and it doesn't have the battery care mode. So that's my first disappointment that I have to keep my Legion go Unplugged when It fully charge.

Glad that the battery care was added into the firmware Updating.

I keep using my legion go anywhere as it was my dream powerful handheld portable PC, so it drains much power, and I decided to buy a power band that can extend my enjoyment. I bought a ravpower with 60W PD and everything was running as my desire. but my powerbank capacity was small so I decided to use an Anker 747 with 100W PD. it does the job well until one time when my Legion Go battery goes 20% and I turned off and connected to Anker powerbank , within a minute powerbank heats up and drained faster than usual. I immediately disconnect the charger and use the lenovo original charger.

and one time, I went to my friend's house to enjoy playing game for long time session with my legion go. I played on my power bank until capacity is low so the charger disconnects, and I keep Playing on battery mode without notice until it gave me low battery message at 11%. I forgot to bring my lenovo charger so I use his USBC-PD 100W to keep it on. it works fine and keep playing for 4hours I return home.
at this period of use while charge, it should be completely charged. so, I turned on my legion Go and I suddenly found that the battery was still 15% !!!!!
I immediately connect it to a Lenovo charger and leave it charge on idle so it can charge faster. after an hour, I checked back and it only reached 30% !!!!
So, I decided to turned off and let it charge. and it was completely charged from 30% to 80% within 15 minutes !!!
so, I decided that every time I want charge my legion go, Ive to tuned off and plug the charger. it works until the one year passed. I charged the legion go when it off and unplug the power to shelf it due I have hard work. I didn't use it for 2 weeks. after that, I return home and eager to use the legion go then I turn on and it won't !!
I connecting to lenovo charger and it behaves very weird. it turns on once charger is connected and it show me the battery at 0% and it disappear then it turns off. I pressed the power button and it switched on and boot up normally but the battery remains at 0%. and all my time/date was reset. and it turns off when I unplugged the charger.
I use an anker to try charging the legion go battery and it behaves same way. but because the nker has power meter, I notice that the legion go works at 30W when it turn on and after the battery charge screen appear at 0% and disappear, the power meter shows a spike of 90W power output and immediately goes to 0W!!!

at this time, I realize that the legion go has a features of (Rapid Charger) and it al time on - specially when it charger while turned off.

and because of this feature, the battery lifespan was shorten and it now dying.

I went to local dealership for a battery repair and they claimed tat the battery warranty was passed and they asked me for 300$!!

Now, when I know that ( Rapid charger ) is always active on legion go and there is no option to turned off, I refuse to replace the battery. So, I kept using it on a charger and now the legion go is becoming just like an expensive mini pc which is a shame!

although I like the z1 extreme chip that legion go have. But I will not buy any Legion line up because of this flaw.
and I will wait for any Z1 extreme chip to be used in Lenovo Yoga series! , not legion series.

Sorry to hear about that. It seems that you didn't talk to the central company. If I were you, I would do that.

I personally think that a lifespan of less than 2 years means a defective product and that they should repair it for you. Depending on your country, you may have customer protections that can help you with the claim.
