Hi everyone, hope you're having a great day!

I wanted to introduce you to Girls' Legion, an all-girls gaming league launched by Lenovo Denmark! 😎

The gaming world can be a toxic place, and female gamers are often met with prejudice or even hostility. Due to this, many female gamers feel that they cannot be themselves while playing games online or are altogether discouraged from playing online.

The Girls' Legion movement was created because there was a great need to give girls and women a place and a voice in the gaming world and to emphasize that they are as eligible to play as anyone else. With Girls' Legion, Lenovo wants to give girls and women a safe environment to meet, exchange experiences, talk about gaming and do what they love most: play games.

Girls' Legion is not about being the best - it's about being yourself.

Girls' Legion was launched almost 2 years ago and comprises of over 400 members who game at various different levels within six main games:
    • Fortnite
    • League of Legends
    • CS: GO
    • World of Warcraft
    • Overwatch
    • Apex Legends

Check out their website (in Danish) where you can read more about Girls' Legion, their activities and Ambassadors - and of course, join the group on their Facebook and Discord! 👍

Have you heard of Girls' Legion? Are you a female gamer yourself? What are your thoughts on inclusivity in gaming and the challenges faced by female online gamers? Looking forward to reading your comments! 😊

    Thanks everyone <3

The response to our initiative has actually been oddly diverse...

Corporations, organizations and many people across the world welcome us and applaude the initiative ... But some how our ambassadors still meet resistance and skepticism from online individuals!

This only strengthens our resolve, however... and just proves that the world still need initiatives like this!

So thank you to everyone, who has supported us... We are a Danish initiative, but are launching in Norway this week and would love to take over the world, if the opportunity arises <3
